Newly Refurbished City Centre House With Parking

Was well equipped. The kitchen was lovely. Great to have 4 bedrooms. Good location for busses into the centre. The owner allowed us to enter a little earlier.

If there had been more than 4 adults, not enough comfortable chairs to sit on. Had to move furniture to use the dining table . Issues with cleanliness, but the owner did offer to get the cleaners back.

Communication with host - helpful, respectful and timely. Easy to follow instructions. Though street parking was quite full, we were always able to obtain a car park fairly close. 4 bedrooms - 3 quite spacious. Good kitchen, with good range of utensils, manuals, etc - all easy to find and use.

Musty odour from one main cupboard. Little space for dining (and having to use and set-up a foldable table and chairs for dining - which we decided not to try to do). My misunderstanding regarding the steps - not having a continuous hand rail and slightly too steep for some (mobility impaired and especially trying to carry luggage). One very small bathroom without a separate toilet.

Duncan was a great host and really helpful. Check-in was very easy and the house was very clean, we were really grateful for the bread and milk plus tea and coffee. Thanks Duncan.

It would have been helpful to have had an extra toilet, as a large party (7 adults) we were fighting over the bathroom. However we did know there was only one bathroom & toilet when we booked!

The property is in a quiet location but close enough to town to be able to walk in. The accommodation was used by six people and there was more than enough room, although squeezing in six people around the dining table which you have to set up in the lounge was a little cramped. Overall, a great property which was very clean and well located.

The location

Had an exceptional stay at the property during half term in October, had no issues with parking; property was clean and communication with the host could not have been better. Looking to book again for our next stay in Exeter.

Slightly further out of the city than we expected but good local bus service

House is in a nice quiet street within easy 15 minute walk from city centre. Parking on the street was not a problem, there were plenty of spaces available when we arrived. Very well presented house, clean, warm and comfortable. It was perfect for our Mum and Daughter Christmas shopping trip and we will definitely stay there again next year if it is available. Duncan was very helpful and easy to communicate with.

I we didn’t eat at the property and not all family members stayed so we had lots of room, but it has limited space downstairs and dining with 6 adults and a baby would have been a squeeze.
