"Lovely little cottage"

8.0

Gorgeous little cottage with almost everything you need. A very well equipped kitchen, amazing fridge freezer and great cooker. There were dog toys, bowls, kitchen foil, baking paper...The towels were very nice and fluffy and we had a lovely welcome pack waiting for us, which was a very nice touch. Despite being a terraced cottage on the high street, it is extremely quiet. You can't hear any noises either from the street (which is very quiet anyway) or the neighbours. The little patio is very private and well secured for dogs. Communication with the owners was excellent.

It would be great if there was a hose in the garden to be able to wash the dog after a walk, particularly when it's muddy outside. Being such a well equipped cottage, it was a bit of a let down that shower gel is not provided. The mattresses are not great in any of the beds and could do with an upgrade.

"Cosy coastal cottage"

8.0

Nice welcome pack, spacious ground floor rooms. Comfortable bed in main bedroom. Nice and cosy

Furnishings in living room including rug a bit grubby. Plumbing temperamental but to be expected in a property of that age. No instructions for oven

"Absolutely wonderful."

10.0

The hosts left a "goodie" bag in the kitchen and essentials in the fridge. The house was very clean and communication with the hosts was excellent. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this property to others.

Nothing.

"Cosy homely cottage stay"

10.0

A home from home. Such a cosy cottage with lovely homely touches. Great location with lots of interesting places to visit not too far. Loved the little mice around the cottage. Easy onsite parking.

You can’t fault the property. Wasn’t anything to dislike.

"Very quiet and peaceful."

9.0

The location was excellent. The village is a real mixture of old world charm and modern styles. The cottage is definitely in the old world charm category but very nicely modified for modern living. Great kitchen layout and the bed was very comfortable. Close to a lot of different places to visit on a day out such as Cromer, Sandringham Estate and of course right next door to Hunstanton. However walking around the village we found a few nice watering holes, like the Fox and Hounds, and the Bushel & Strike, and a very nice Chinese Restaurant that does takeaways called the Silk Road II. The cottage is a 10 minute walk to a very nice beach, great for walking the dog.

Not really a criticism, but because of the age and style of the cottage the stairs up to the bedroom are quite steep, which I gather is normal for this type of cottage in Norfolk, and may be an issue for an older person, or even someone taller than 6 foot. But not something to worry about too much.
