Salt Life Gili Trawangan

Location was perfect. Staff was nice and friendly. I loved the cats here, they were so friendly. Room was nice and clean. Offered lots of services such as we rented a bike to go around the island.

I can’t fault the place, only thing is the mosque’s speaker early hours in the morning but that’s not the property’s fault, just wear earplugs:)

Unfortunately there were bedbugs in the room we stayed in and we were left with several bites. The listing doesn’t make it clear how close to the mosque the accommodation actually is - we were woken up several times in the night from the prayer that is played from the loud speakers. The pictures on booking.com are also misleading and make it look a lot cleaner than it actually is, but overall it was an okay spot for the price.

Their was construction on roof fixing for 2 days. The bed mattress was awful and pillows 10 years old. Not very clean .

The staff seemed friendly..smiled if they saw you. And the cats were very sweet and took the edge off how much I didn't enjoy it here..

Where to even start???? First of all, I'm never someone to write bad reviews...I don't believe it's good for any business, however, I have mould poisoning from the Aircon in this room, I was so sick while I was here I couldn't leave for most of my days. I didn't realise at the time that it was the room that was making me sick. The bathroom is very damp smelling and had dead bugs and mould in every corner, there was also dust everywhere on the room ceiling and lights... If you want a good night's sleep, do not stay here. The bed is so hard that I have bruises to my hips on either side, with the mosque waking you up at all hours of the day and night. I am aware that they can provide earplugs, but as someone with ear problems I cannot use them. I did not anticipate the noise to be as loud as it was. It's deafening!! When the mosque wasn't waking me, the sound of the owners and other residents outside did, shouting and laughing until 3am... There is a policy that states for residents to be quiet in the common area after 10pm.. but apparently this isn't actually enforced. I understand the price is cheap here, I'm not expecting luxury. However, I have stayed in cheaper places that have been a lot more guest friendly...I cannot understand how anyone could enjoy their stay here.

I had one quick overnight in these bungalows and it was perfect for the night. It's close to the mosque but it didn't worry me. Close to the boat harbour and is clean and comfortable. The aircon worked well and towels were nice and soft.

The area is not tops but its fine and it's good value...

Good location and well equipped. Adequate room for the price.

Very close proximity to the mosque which woke us up each morning (no fault of theirs). Power kept going out and the staff seemed more interested in playing on phones than fixing.

The room was big and spacious. There were 2 cats which were very friendly! Location was good, only a 5 min walk from the main boat pier!

The smell of the bathroom was horrendous.. We are right next to the mosque which woke us up at 4:30 AM every day (it can’t be helped which is understandable)
