The Boathouse at Oakhurst Olives

Me and my wife had our anniversary weekend here. It was really magical. Things that stood out for us: The Beauty of the surrounding nature. The size of the house and views from the deck. The underfloor heating made it very cozy inside. Enough firewood for the whole weekend and this list can go on. One to remember and we will definitely be back.

Was super chilled, spacious, private and comfy and Rena and Oliver ( jack russell and braque) were great security and walking companions. Fully geared for a "home away from home" vibe, so if self-catering is your thing its sorted. A few little things needed tweaking like the inflatable hot tub's tepid temp, but that could also be timing/user error, I did mention a few little things to hosts not worth itemising here 👌

The cottage was absolutely immaculate! Fantastic, private, peaceful and serene. Everything we needed at our fingertips. Highly recommend!

That we couldn't stay longer

Perfect location. Nice and private and close enough to enjoy all Tulbagh has to offer. Braai facilities were very good as was the kitchen etc so perfect to self cater.

Mosquitoes.

Comfortable, well equipped with breathtaking views. Privacy and tranquility were just what we needed. Our stay was too short, and we will definitely be back. Enjoyed the olive tasting and special treats. Would have loved to purchase a few bottles of Oakhurst olive oil. They were unfortunately sold out, which is understandable because the quality is excellent. Oliver and Rena made our stay feel like home!!

Everything was excellent! I can't find any faults with the Boathouse. The location is perfect and the hot tub and pool table are nice additions to a lovely place. The chilled wine in the fridge on arrival, and the complementary olive oil tasting really showed they've thought about their guests. Thank you, Pieter, for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful spacious property with great facilities. Gorgeous lakeside position with stunning Mountain Views. Very peaceful and private and felt very safe. Ideal for a relaxing few days. Choice of traditional and gas barbecues with plenty of wood supplied.

very well equipped apartment in a stunning location. Peaceful. Great olive oil tasting included.

It would have been helpful to have someone to welcome us. We just arrived from Ireland and had lots of questions.

The peace and quietness.The lake for swimming. The outside area.The view The dogs. The Braai.

The ladder to access the water was very wobbly. Difficult to find kitchen utensils in all the drawers.
