Il Poggio

Une vue extraordinaire, belle à toutes les heures du jour, depuis la terrasse ou la piscine, dans le calme des collines au milieu des oliviers et des arbres fruitiers. La maison est grande, parfaite pour une famille, fraîche ce qui est plaisant avec les fortes chaleurs de juillet. Lorenzo est un hôte attentionné et prévenant.

Lack of oven was a bit disappointing.

The villa was very nice, authentic, clean, and spacious. Lorenzo was kind and welcoming, and he answered all our questions We arrived with a little baby, and we had everything we needed

The journey to the destination was a bit curvy.

We loved the location and the amount of bedrooms was amazing for us, we didn't all have to share. And the view is fantastic.

Two main things were problematic: (1) is says three bathrooms, but only two of them have showers, the thirds is only a toilet and a sink, which would have been good to know before. (2) the price for the gas for heating is NOT included in the price, even though amenities say that heating is included. Be aware of that, we had to pay quite a bit for heating when we left.

The house is situated high up on the hills with beautifull views and lots of olive trees in the garden. The house is old (but modernized) and has lots of character, two (spacious) bedrooms with own bathroom on 1st floor and 2 bedrooms on top floor with shared toilet/sink. Ventilators available. Dogs are allowed and have a lot of space to run around. Unfortunately walking with them in the area is a bit less as lots of paths are overgrown, however the road is quiet so letting them out is not a problem. The kitchen is a bit small but has (with the exception of a dishwasher) all the things you need. Seperate living room and seperate dining room and a bbq is also available which is very nice because sitting outside have lunch or dinner with great views is very nice. A small pool is available, unfortunately the weather wasn't that warm so we didn't use it. Lorenzo is a very good host. He was very quick to respond to questions. The house is higher up in the hills, no problem to get there, road is fine. One restaurant (Nonna Tina) is only 2 km away and a few others about 4 km)

The weather, but of course that has nothing to do withy the house but the less good september month in most of italy.

Nothing. It was perfect.

The location was perfect. It was very peaceful with spectacular views over Montecatini Alto. The house was comfortable and spaceous. Plenty of accommodation for the family. Nice garden and small pool. Plenty of space for dining indoors and outdoors. Great facilities.

Pool heating would have been nice.

Garden was lovely Very quiet lots of room - what we expected from a Tuscan farmhouse.

Was a bit remote but overall worth the drive to get there.

Perfect location. we felt like we were on top of the world! SPECTACULAR VIEW - over olive trees we could see the nearby towns and villages, hills and valleys... The owners Fabio and his son Lorenzo took great care of us and were extremely helpful: gave us directions to the nearby restaurants and shops, helped in purchasing local prosciutto and we left with a 5liter jug of their own olive oil (yummy) and some bottles of wine - bought for a very reasonable price.
