The Mews Cottage

Location was excellent with easy access to the town centre, harbour, and railway station. Accommodation on two levels was clean and adequate for our short stay.

We were fortunate to be touring on a motorcycle so we could park in the lane outside the property but it could be more difficult if we had been in the car. The stairs between the ground and first floor of the property is quite steep and narrow so required care when descending in particular.

owner was helpful when we arrievd in the rain and the instructions did not quite make sense for access, which was very kind. House finefor what we needed - a night stay before leaving on an early train.

The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk to the train and bus stations. You can pretty much step out of the courtyard and have the most beautiful view of St Michael's Mount. The property is very clean, well kept, and has everything you need. The hosts very kindly left milk and breakfast bits as well as maps, leaflets, and helpful instructions for both the property and the surrounding area. I found the double bed extremely comfortable( we have a soft mattress at home). The bath and shower were glorious and there was hot water aplenty.

Unfortunately we couldn't get the WiFi to work during our stay. We also found the property very cold ( we had a couple of rainy days!) but that is probably because I couldn't work the boiler properly. We stayed four nights so found the storage a bit tight for both of us so it could probably do with a chest of drawers or more storage upstairs. The last bit is absolutely nothing to do with the host or the property really, the seagulls can be extremely noisy and the property is single glazed, so can be an issue with light sleepers like my husband.

Fabulous location, quirky and great it like it you want to be close to everything but independent and do your own thing. Very communicative and accommodating hosts.

So minor but the WiFi was spotty as was the 4G but think the area and providers like BT had problems in area

Great town Centre location, near to everything. Bright, comfortable living area and bedroom. Nice welcome treats which is a nice touch. The shower was really good.

Parking is a bit tight in the area. The kitchen area very small and basic and the downstairs had a bit of a damp smell. The very steep stairs and downstairs toilet could be an issue for anyone with mobility problems.
