The Nell

The location was wonderful...very central for sightseeing/shopping/train services

Our trip was made to travel on the Jacobite Railway train. Unfortunately the event was cancelled by the organisers, so we could not experience the train journey. We got over it and really enjoyed the beautiful surroundings nearby.

The heating could of been put on the day before we arrived as the property didn't warm up until the following day,so we where very cold on our day of arrival.Also there was a musty smell as soon as we walked into the property which seamed to be coming from the sink area.

The location was good. The house was very comfortable!

The actual location was hard to find at first. The house numbers are random and so you cannot follow where to go. The neighbours were very helpful though.

As soon as you walked into the property you could tell it was well run and looked after by people that care. All you are expecting is the basics working appliances, cleanliness, cutlery and crockery, loo paper etc, and a cared about look to the property which surprisingly some people can't achieve. The Nell achieves all the basics perfectly but it's a few small details the elevate it to the next level. A small bottle of scotch whisky, coffee milk and biscuits, visitor information and various other little kind additions go so far and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to anyone. It is also very well located for access to the highlands, and Fort Williams High Street.

The location is perfect should you either wish to take the Jacobite Train or see it making it's runs. The apartment is central to the city making it perfect for convenience - just take care in your driving if you're not used to driving 'left' as it's a thriving city. The apartment is really attractive and well-stocked. We enjoyed the little welcome gift the hosts gave us. The area is quiet and friendly. It was a perfect place to stay half-way through out trip as we could do some laundry and enjoy some take-out. We also noticed the relaxed feel and welcoming atmosphere. Lovely Place !

It was a bit difficult to find a car park The place did not show on Google map well I recommend to confirm the direction with the owner

The Nell is a lovely wee house, it’s very well equipped, spotlessly clean. It’s in a very quiet residential area away from the centre of Fort William. We were fortunate to have excellent weather, it’s a great area for hiking.
