Panorama Guest House Jabal Shams

Our stay hosted by Ram, in a small guest house at the top of the mountain, was incredible and of a rare quality. The only master on board in this place, he takes you from the outset into a world of half-Nepalese, half-Omani gourmet flavors, attentions and kindness. We were particularly touched by his simplicity and generosity of soul. As for the place, its design is remarkably modern and comfortable while highlighting the authentic character of the local surroundings.

Exceptional stay. There are only 3 unit and each have floor-to-ceiling windows with a striking view overlooking the main valley and walking trail. The trailead is a 1-min walk - almost impossible to be closer. The room was clean and super comfortable. We enjoyed the meals cooked by the in-house chef and got to know the other people staying at the Guest House. We also enjoyed the surounding ambiance being surrounded by locals who are raising goats. What an authentic vibe!

Stunning view from room and balcony - straight view of sunrise - 20 steps away from start of balcony walk

The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean, with big windows looking out over the area. It was right at the start/end of the W6 balcony walk and a great place to relax for the evening and morning. We enjoyed talking with Ibrahim (the owner) and Ram (hopefully I am remembering that right) was incredibly helpful, making sure we had everything we needed and adding a real sense of joviality to the place - dinner and breakfast were delicious!

My friend and I travelled through several cities across Oman and stayed in different accommodations, and this one was by far the best. The beds were very comfortable, everything was clean, and the mountain view was absolutely stunning. The starting point of the hike was right outside, which made it even better. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We watched both the sunset and the sunrise from our room, and both were breathtaking. I had never seen sun rays so clearly before. It was truly special. The only thing to be aware of is that there aren’t many restaurants or cafés nearby, so it’s a good idea to bring some snacks if you want. That said, the food served at the accommodation was perfectly fine. Highly recommended!

This isn’t a big issue, but there’s no cupboard or wardrobe in the room. There were three hangers provided, which we used to hang our clothes. :)

Very clean , well maintained, friendly & energetic staff Mr. Ram . Beautiful view from floor to roof glass partition. Sleep with counting the stars & awaken with beautiful sunrise with no obstruction ( except for 3 electricity cable )

Only 1 staff ( very efficient ) catering to 4 rooms & cooking for 8 guests dinner & breakfast ( European style ) but tasty for everyone palate . No signage for property , have to depend on google location .

ich war alleinreisend und hatte vorab Halbpension gebucht. Ich musste Halbpension für zwei Leute bezahlen. Hätte ich vor Ort erst um Halbpension gebeten, hätten Frühstück und Abend jw. nur 5 OMR gekostet, so habe ich ordentlich drauf gezahlt.
