Sea Biscuit Cottage, Scarborough

Location was great with lovely views out the back of the property. More spacious than expected.

Found the back patio doors to be unlocked on the day of arrival. Dropped off belonging and went out for the evening then found the door issue.

Very clean and welcoming and had everything you need to enjoy your stay

Everything was exceptional

Sea biscuit was the perfect home from home. Had everything we needed and more. The location was good and very quiet at night.

The property was easy to find and the self check in was straightforward. The cottage itself is a lovely size and can easily fit a family. The cottage is well decorated and also well stocked with everything that you might need for your visit, we where even provided with milk and bread which was a lovely touch. Although the house is over two floors the stairs aren't too steep and there is a banister. The bathroom is a good size and its nice to have the option of bath or shower. The beds where comfortable and the whole property was very clean and tidy. The cottage is well situated for exploring as you are only a few minutes walk from the sea front, just be aware that Scarborough is very hilly so walking back is a bit steep. The whole trip was made so much better knowing that we had our own space to come back to following a long day walking and exploring.

The only thing I will say is that although there is a parking permit provided the street where the property is situated is quite narrow and busy. We struggled to get parked and if we did not find the spot we did a little further down I am not sure what we would have done for parking. This obviously is not the properties fault its just the nature of a seaside town. I just think that it is something to be aware of if you are visiting, especially if you are not a confident driver/parallel parker. Other than that everything was amazing and we would definitely like to stay again!

Great Location! The accommodation and guest facilities are well thought out and offered pretty much everything you could need in a house for a family weekend. Kindly left us fresh Milk and Bread, tea & coffee making products and cereal available too. Firelogs for the stove in the front room and the WiFi was good. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, plentiful towels etc and importantly, comfortable beds and pillows😃 Great outdoor space to the rear to sit and enjoy the sunshine and the hosts offer the option of a BBQ too for your stay, should you want it. Due to difficulty with another accommodation booked, and having a special family gathering weekend arranged, this was booked at VERY short notice but we could not have done any better and Alex was such an accommodating host- huge thanks go to him for enabling our weekend to NOT be a disaster! This is perfect accommodation if you're happy, as we are, self-catering and being independent.

Absolutely nothing! It was perfect for us😁 HOWEVER, it might not be ideal for anyone who struggles to walk far, up and down hills, or has difficulty with stairs.

Sea-Biscuit cottage was so clean. All of the equipment is good quality and there is everything you need. Location is perfect to walk up to the castle and the sea front.

For us, the beds weren’t comfortable but maybe that’s a personal thing.
