De Vere Wokefield Estate

Hotel was located on an Estate including golf course. Rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast in the hotel was excellent - plenty to choose from. Finally all staff were friendly, efficient and helpful

Fantastic location, beautiful place all round

Found urine in toilet, then found a vape on chair in the room & couple of wrappers from some chocolate bars on the floor. We didn’t report this incident on leaving because we had to leave early on sat morning. Lovely stay all round but little disgusted with the toilet more than anything didn’t take any photos of this unfortunately

The grounds were beautiful. There were ducks and rabbits around and rare sightings of baby deer (or a kind) Breakfast at View was great.Staff there helped us get high chair for our 7month old Swimming pool was acceptable, standard good temperature but couldn't find sauna etc mentioned in the booking, still good Driving range was very nice, enjoyed that and a pint after. Staff were pleasant It was an amazing father's Day experience and will definitely go back again when we can, absolutely enjoyed it. Great place for family, kids

It was very hot in the room (31 degrees) and we had to request another fan. With a baby this was too much. We were given a family room but the size of the room was the same as any other room. It wasn't bad but I didn't see how it was any different to a deluxe double, and the window was much smaller than I imagined. Would be good for reception to give exact lift and travel to room information especially when traveling with a baby and pram, it took us a day to figure out which lift goes where and there were no lifts to the family room we were given. However we managed it all. Mentioned above to help other guests and if they can improve situation for others will be nice too.

Window didn’t open very much & it was over 30 degrees no aircon Bad rubbish smell in the garden by the bar very off putting

The pillows were not comfortable, there was no fridge in the room, there was no air conditioning or a fan

Hotel is set in lovely grounds, Breakfast is very good and the selections for Gluten Free exceeded our expectations. The room was nice and clean but did have little walk around the building to get to it. Really love the water fill up stations great to ensure you are well hydrated.

Bar food was an average affair but filled a gap.

The venue is truly stunning, lovely and quiet with stunning grounds. Our bedroom was beautifully decorated, light and airy, incredibly clean and a good size. Breakfast was beautiful with it's of choice and the team manager who "ticked us off the list" was very friendly and helpful. Prior to our arrival, I also had a call from a member of the restaurant team letting us know that you were due to be busy on that night and asked if we needed to make a reservation for dinner - this was a really thoughtful gesture.

When we were given the map on check in and advised where our accommodation was. it was described as being "just around the corner", and we did get lost. There only seemed to be signposts for the Mansion House and it was not made clear that we needed to go past the Mansion House and the BMW venue. A little more signposting to the Wellington House.
