The Penrallt Country House Hotel

Fabulous location, gorgeous property, lovely welcoming staff and good food. 1

I would have preferred to have a hairdryer in the room rather then having to ask for one in reception. Heating wasn't on in the room but got a heater when we asked.

The location was A1 you can’t fault it, the breakfast was amazing could have been a little bigger but you could alway have toast to go with it

Restaurant food was absolutely terrible we complained at the time all it did was course the members of staff to almost have a panic attack, the room only had 1 robe, damp wall in the bathroom curtains hanging of the rails and dust covered the tv cabinet, wallpaper coming off the wall.

The leisurely breakfast was excellent with fresh home cooked food. Very friendly staff

Dogs on site. Very loud yaopy ones. Very annoying.

Great location with an amazing view. Rooms were clean and recently decorated. Breakfast was comprehensive with a wide variety.

Water pressure in the main house didn’t seem good. Could do with some lighting on the path between the house and car park as the restaurant wasn’t open we went out for dinner and found it hard to see the path in the dark.

We expected to stay in the house but were put in a garden room which didn't have the character or view we were expecting from a hotel room. Hotel was locked daily from about 11 to 3, only hotel guests were given a key. So we paid for a 4 star hotel but didn't get full use of facilities. Breakfast continental selection very poor. Room was not routinely cleaned unless you specifically asked for it. We had a problem with our TV and reported it but no one did anything about it. Garden room smelt very musty. A general feeling of owners avoiding any contact with guests. Shortage of staff.

Location was perfect and the hotel is beautiful.

No chef available for an evening meal.
