Ici, on est à la maison. Gardez en tête que c'est plus un gîte qu'un hôtel. Et ça se ressent par l'accueil : tout le monde est d'une gentillesse. Nous avons été reçus et choyé comme dans un 5 étoiles. Midhun nous a proposé pleins d'activités, qu'il a à chaque fois organisé : kayak, bateau, visite d'une fabrique de fibre... La nourriture est succulente, même si bien trop copieuse 😅 Bref, nous avons passé 3 jours hors du temps. Nous vous recommandons vivement cet homestay ! Merci Midhun 🤩

Die Unterkunft ist super schön gelegen mit einem sehr grünen Garten. Unsere Tochter konnte dort schaukeln und auf dem Trampolin springen. Alles ist sauber, das Bett sehr bequem. Die Eigentümer sind so liebe, sympathische Menschen. Wir haben hier auch unsere Kayaktour am Morgen gemacht. Es war ein unfassbares Erlebnis durch diese wunderschöne Natur zu fahren. Besonders gut hat uns auch das Essen gefallen. Wir haben hier Frühstück, Mittag und Abendessen gegessen und wurden so gut bekocht. So ein tolles Essen findet man in keinem Restaurant. Sie haben auch wirklich darauf geachtet, dass es für unsere Tochter nicht scharf ist. Vielen Dank, wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit bei euch!

Communication was excellent and we received a very warm welcome. The home-cooked food was absolutely delicious and offered the best value for money of our entire trip. The area is very calm and relaxing. The kids loved the trampoline and the swings in front of the cottages. We especially enjoyed the kayak tour through the surroundings and the mangrove forest in the river right in front of the property. It was an amazing experience, made even more special by the wonderful sunset.

Absolutely delighted to share our experience at Royal Island ! We were a group of seven, including kids, and from the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The resort’s serene setting, surrounded by lush greenery, provided the perfect escape from city life. What truly made our stay memorable was the exceptional hospitality. Midhun, the owner, went above and beyond to ensure every need was met—whether it was arranging comfortable accommodations for all of us or helping us plan local outings. His attention to detail and genuine care for guests set the tone for a truly relaxing holiday. And then, the food! We are still dreaming about the traditional Kerala seafood served at the resort. Everything was incredibly fresh, bursting with authentic local flavors, and prepared with such love. This is the kind of place you look forward to returning to—where relaxation, delicious food, and heartfelt hospitality come together perfectly. We’re already planning our next trip back. Thank you, Midhun and team, for a truly unforgettable experience!

I was supposed to stay a week but I stayed a month. The property looks even nicer than in the pictures, I’ve biked a lot around the island and this seems to be the best homestay around. Garden is cute and the whole thing is literally 5 meters from river. Food is really good (I had 3 meals per day cooked for me). The best part, though, is the staff who could not be friendlier, more accommodating and helpful, e.g. when I said I’d like to see monkeys, they called someone the same moment and arranged to take me to a temple the following day. Totally recommend.

Excellent Hosts, new property built to high standard and peaceful location. Munroe Island is an escape from it all a very spiritual place with the temples chanting. Back waters are amazing lots of water activities to do. Staff were amazing so kind and friendly. We ate at the hotel everyday and the staff did their upmost to please us. Would recommend as a great get away from it all.

Only small niggle we thought the property overlooked the nearby lake. It is only just out the gate so a seating area there would be nice for the evening, also some steps of some sort to help get in and out of lake when swimming. But everything else was perfect.

Beautiful location, comfortable bed, lovely shower n the staff are so lovely n accommodating. I loved the hammock feature.
