"Fantastic location, would stay here again"

8.0

Excellent location, quirky little property with a lovely little kitchenette. Had all the facilities you would need to cook a full meal if you wanted, we didn't but could have if we'd wanted. Hosts very quickly responded to any questions asked

"Clean and confortable little flat close to the Castle"

8.0

Clean and confortable little flat close to the Castle.

It took us a while to work out the heating. The futon was unconfortable as a sofa. Due to space limitations the bed is one side against the wall, which makes this place better for one person.

"Not good. We cut our stay short."

5.0

the dwelling was not a cottage but a conversion of a shed or similar. The entry to the courtyard was narrow, and you had to part the bins to gain access. The courtyard was really dirty. Inside, kitchen benches were sticky and crockery variable in cleanliness. On the summary of facilities in the advertisement, it states 'parking available' but in the detailed print it is clear that only public parking is available. Noisy air exhange pump just outside.

"In general, a lovely cosy place with a kind and attentive host,"

10.0

The location was perfect for us and the house was small but cosy and perfect for 2 people!! Any questions that I had were answered in a question of minutes by the host in informative and friendly messages. The location is also perfect for exploring the cathedral and castle quarter - just by the back door of the castle - and the pub across the road (the Strugglers) is lively and friendly!

The house is tucked away behind a row of houses - this could be considered a negative if you're looking for views, but in all honesty meant that we were protected from possible noise from the street and we still received a lot of sunlight through the bedroom window. You only had to walk out of the entrance passageway and you could see the cathedral and castle wall!!!

"The location is brilliant, the property is tired."

5.0

The location was fantastic for the castle, the prison and the town for shopping and eating out

The toilet would not flush very well at all. We were charged an extra £30 because we took our dog with us. I asked why we had to pay a £30 charge as was told " we charge this because the cleaners have to do a deep extra clean when you vacate the property because of the dog " I paid it even though I was a bit annoyed. Then when we arrived we found a dirty pair of ladies knickers down the side of the bed ! I complained about it saying maybe the cleaners should do a deep clean after every booking. I was told that they would look into it and get back to me. I have not heard anything from them since.

This is an amazing cottage in a brilliant location near the castle and cathedral. It is extremely cosy and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this little gem to others.
