GBFantastic location, views, lovely and quiet and we really enjoyed our holiday but we were not entire happy with the cleanliness of our cottage. The hoover hadn’t been emptied and when used left an awful smell of dog, also having a hoover right next to where you eat is not a nice experience. There were no basic cleaning products, no surface spray no cloth for wiping surfaces no bin liners no matches or firelighters. The biscuits and Prosecco were a nice touch but would rather have had some essentials instead. There were plenty of cobwebs, thick dust behind the basin in bathroom, black dog hairs in the main bedroom carpet. The curtains in the main bedroom wouldn’t shut, tried to reattach hooks to the the runners and stabbed myself with a shap hook. Considering we had to be out and have the key handed back by 9am, cleanliness should have been absolutely perfect in my opinion.
GBGorgeous location, lovely cottage, stunning views
Shower was a bit cramped height wise (but quite understandable given the configuration of the property)

GBProperty was fantastic. Staff at the hotel where we picked up and dropped off the key seemed disinterested. They were late letting us enter the cottage as had BT in sorting Internet which is fine of course but we didn't get an apology and the guy from the hotel who was at the cottage simply said "well if you want Internet!" By this time we had been on the rosd for 7hrs as had travelled up non motorway from the south coast. Google hub from neighbouring cottages also trying to connect all the time which was frustrating as we'd turned the one off in our cottage. That all said though, the location is second to none and the bed was super comfy. I would definitely recommend but don't expect a lovely warm welcome at the hotel when you collect the keys.
GBCollecting the keys from the hotel, its a very short drive to the cottage with stunning views of the beach. The cottage is beautiful and mixes modern and old charm perfectly. The cottage was immaculate, warm, with a modern bathroom and kitchen and very comfortable bed. The sea is right at the end of the lawn so getting to the most stunning beach in the UK is a couple of minutes walk whilst Budle Bay and views to Holy Island are to the left. A really stunning yet peaceful place. Id defiantly go back again.
The internet connection was not so good and having to check out at 9am which was a bit early.
GBThe walls all needed a freshen up. The curtains in bedroom need fixing, bathroom needs a bit of paint attention.
GBThe location is amazing, we have stayed at these cottages previously, and hadn’t had a problem with WiFi. However, on this occasion the WiFi was terrible it kept dropping out and on evening went off for a number of hours, which spoilt our evening when settled down for the evening to watch a film. I did report this and maintenance chap came round n said he would let IT person know but it didn’t improve at all.

GBThe location and views from the living room and bedroom windows was spectacular. Views to one side of Holy Island. Views to the other side of Bamburgh Castle and of course in front the sea.
AIDEN COTTAGE The first thing to point out is this accommodation is not suitable in our opinion for: Anyone with heart problems, Arthritis, poor eyesight, anyone taller than 5 foot , anyone needing to go to the toilet at night or any other physical ailment. The stairs were extremely steep from the ground floor entrance up into the cottage All of the ceilings were sloped. A step in the living room up to the window ( we put a pillow on it in the end to remind us it was there as a trip hazard) The bedroom..... this deserves a special mention: As far as we are concerned this is a health and safety disaster waiting to happen. A sloped ceiling so close to the bed (inside which was a small wardrobe) added to this 2 steps leading up or down (depending which way you are going) on either side of the bed. My husband banged his head on this quite hard. Navigating these steps at night was dangerous without putting all of the lights on and remembering they are there (daytime as well ) also making a mental effort to remember where your head was in relevance to THE SLOPING WALL. 1. No welcome pack with Wi Fi passwords. local area attractions etc. 2. No tea plates (we bought some) or chopping board. 3. light on extractor hood not working. 4. Beautiful curtains.... useless if put up on a cheap plastic track. They were hanging off. 5. Living room clock was not working, flat battery 6. Candle holder with battery operated candle... batteries flat. 7. Dinner plates to big for the dishwasher. 8. Shower in the dormer slope, could not stand up straight in the shower. Shower head falling apart and front of bath pealing off needs replacing, 9. Dishwasher tablets, four of these we stayed for 7 nights. It is important that people know the details and of course the hazards before booking. We paid £100 per night. So yes stunning views and location, the trade off is a tired, physically difficult accommodation, in need of updating.
