Point Cottages, Bamburgh

The location and view was great. The cottage was lovely and warm inside Had all kitchen equipment needed for our stay Beds comfy, bathroom nice and big. Shower was easy to use and was great Lovely quiet location, very beautiful Would recommend staying here

Glasses were dirty we rewashed using the dishwasher still dirty. Dishwasher needs rinse aid and maybe a deep clean Big plates awkward to fit in the dishwasher No matches to light the fire and not enough kindling Freezer needs defrosting Fridge had build up of ice at back.

Beautiful view . Cottage is so cosy . The window seat is the best place to watch the sea with a cup of tea.

Shower a little erratic first day . Fine rest of the time.

The location was stunning, secluded and quiet but with a view of the castle to the rear and the sea with lindisfarne and the farne islands at the front. Parking on site.

The outside seating was not very nice, wooden bench and a mismatched table. A couple of the windows would not open and difficult to use the oven as the images had rubbed away. Nothing major just little improvements that could have made it easier.

Amazing location. You can see the sunset and sunrise from the front windows! 20 min walk to the village pubs, 2 minute walk to the beach, budle bay or bamburgh. Stunning! Comfortable accommodation. Good WiFi. Smart TVs which all worked well. A modern Kamado bbq in the rear garden too. We were in Bede cottage. The (included) free access to the Ocean Club in Seahouses which is 10 min drive away was brilliant. Very well equipped swimming pool, spa, sauna etc with a nice bar and good food.

Hot water is very very slow. It would take hours to fill a bath. The dinner plates provided are too big for the dishwasher, so it cannot clean properly. The fridge’s drain hole is blocked so it fills with water. The en-suite shower drain is blocked so it drains very slowly. There was a very annoying banging noise in the front bedroom from something on the roof/exterior wall that is loose, so it kept banging on the night. None of these would put me off staying there again but could be easily sorted.
