Point Cottages, Bamburgh

Great views and big lounge, all cooking facilities BUT not suitable without a car as a mile walk each time with strong winds and no pavement.

Nearer the main street and bus stops.

Beautiful and classy and comfortable. We loved it. Close to various trips out.

Nothing…….apart from having to be out of the property so early in the morning. 9 am is very early..particularly when my husband is disabled and needs constant care. It was a rush to get out, and as his carer I was very stressed.

09:00 am leave in the morning of departure. We actually left the day before.

The location is amazing for the view and quiet, great for dogs also. When asked if could take dogs in message the reply was yes which is great but wasn’t mentioned a charge per dog per night. Alright to pay extra but Would love more commutation though. Bamburgh castle close by which is Beautiful! Unfortunately we were upstairs which didn’t work well for us as too low. Beautiful views from lounge/ dining area and also bedroom, straight out to sea and side window view of bamburgh castle.

Unfortunately we were upstairs but wanted ground floor. My husband is 6ft 2 and this is dormer style ceiling with slanted ceilings in bedroom, lounge, toilet and kitchen area making this difficult to function normally. Banging heads throughout our stay. Some finishing touches required- curtains falling off the rails as heavy. 2 blinds needing attention one slightly broke. So wouldn’t roll up easily, door blind beads broken on pull chord. Double bed is the smallest I’ve seen, 2 steps up from getting out of bed then 2 steps down whilst trying to negotiate a slanted ceiling! Bed needs to be moved up to wall and bigger bed, wanted to get up to sleep on sofa as uncomfortable but realised I couldn’t as only 2 seat sofa which also was uncomfortable. Need more comfortable furniture. Not enough communication when I asked for lower floor and unsure what has been booked as little info. If I knew I was getting this apartment I would have not booked it. Sorry just trying to be constructive.
