Mount Airy Motel

Very large room. Close to town. I liked the granite Mayberry stones on the walk way.

The smell of smoke came through the bathroom vents and was through out the room. The bedspread has cigarette burns all over. The bathroom was as small as a closet. No handicap bars. I dont know what was all over the bottom of the shower I did not use it. There were 2 holes in the wall in front of the toilet that were stuffed with cotton.

Neat and clean, very helpful and responsive staff.

Once on site I had to call a phone # to get someone to check us in. The "office" was one of the motel rooms that also stored extra beds and some other furniture. Outside beside the "manager's" office was a collection of stuff like a hot water tank. Room was not locked when we entered. This appeared to be more of a low income extended stay type place as there was a collection of stuff in front of several rooms. I knew this was an old property but didn't expect the clutter that was there. Also, the wi-fi was almost non-existent.

Clean! No bugs! Very quiet and peaceful atmosphere! Management was very professional and friendly! I'll say again, clean, no bugs! Comfortable beds! Enjoyed seeing some local wildlife late at night. Will definitely stay there again and recommend to others!

Wouldn’t change a thing. Clean room, quiet surroundings, and very friendly staff.
