The Badger House

I liked the view of the mountains in the distance. The route in and out was slow and winding but pretty. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and it was a treat to have a washer and dryer. The owner of the property responded quickly to questions.

Water pressure was very low in the shower and the HVAC fan could be loud. The couch works ok to sit on but was pretty soft to use as a sleeping space.

I like that it was in the middle of nowhere. The view was great .very peaceful. The host David was a very caring sweet gentleman and met him the next morning. He is great with directions and also very thoughtful let me know to get food and gas before coming up since the closet store is an hour away.

The property is rural with lots of trees around. We saw wild turkeys and woodpeckers while there for our one night stay. We were impressed by the comfortable beds and pillows. The kitchen was clean as was the rest of the home. The owner was very responsive to my call when I could not find the message with the access code. He quickly texted me the information I needed. I was also appreciative of his heads up that the nearest grocery store was about an hour away. With that info, we knew that we needed to stop for supplies long before reaching the property. Though it is a good drive to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, we found it doable. We appreciated the space and two sleeping areas of the cabin rather than staying in two separate motel rooms somewhere else. There is a huge TV mounted in the living room. We enjoyed watching a movie on it.

We stayed overnight on one of the hottest days of summer. The cabin is air conditioned, but heat rises, so it took a few hours for the bedroom in the upstairs loft to cool down. The rooms downstairs were comfortable. There are blinds in the bedrooms, but the living room windows are not covered. That was not a problem for us, but might be a concern for others.

Everything about this property is great. The house is fully equipped with all your needs. We loved our stay thoroughly. Highly recommend this place if u want to have a peaceful stay in nature

The property is in an isolated location and you need to drive through narrow roads for atleast 30 minutes before you reach. However the address given is precise so it’s unlikely you will miss the place.
