"Great place to stay."

Location was excellent and very good value for money. Loved that we had a table, chairs, cutlery and plates etc so we could eat in the room.

No TV, but otherwise everything was great.

"Needs a tidy up"

Nice friendly owner Great location Nice bright room

Front was messy grotty curtains windows and garden.un inviting compared to others in the street. Smelt of wet dog Hardly any room to walk around bed Cheap polyester sheets Smelly throw (needs washing per use ) Shower pressure rubbish

"A happy come back to the Lakes"

Location is perfect, from where to go anywhere you want in the Lake District. The staff is very welcoming, always ready to help. A suggestion: to avoid wasting water in the bathroom while the shower keeps on more than necessary.

To stay only 3 nights.

"Simple but a good base for one."

Tim was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room and en suite bathroom were clean and comfortable. The house is very centrally located in Windermere town, near restaurants, shops and the station. There are buses down to the lake and also public transport to many other lake district areas. I bought a day bus pass and was able to see a lot cheaply.

The room is very small. It was fine for one, but for a couple with luggage it would be crowded. The shelf with the kettle and supplies for making hot drinks was above the radiator which meant that everything got heated up. As there is no refrigerator that was a bit of a problem as I had bought snacks to eat in the room. It is fine as a base for a couple of days.

Everything was very clean and tidy. Perfect location for everything. Food, bus, train. Also the host is really welcoming and kind. Will be coming back soooon

Nice host. Friendly ,helpful and welcoming. Nothing too much trouble. Good facilities. Nice and warm. Nice comfortable bed, hot shower with shampoo, conditioner and soap. Even cereal bowls, cutelry and plates provided..nice touch! Good central accomodation for exploring the lakes. Walking distance to the centre( a couple of minutes)

Would have been a nice touch to have a small t.v in the room as an extra bonus
