Very friendly welcome, good breakfast, comfortable bed, beautiful location

Very friendly hosts - Very welcoming and responsive. Although we were in a car, we saw them drive other residents to Haltwhistle/ the start of their walks. Great Location - Around 3 minute drive from the car park for walk to Sycamore Gap and 12 minute drive to Haltwhistle. Great facilities. We came with two children, who loved the outdoor space, trampoline, pool table and retro arcade machine. There is a lovely outdoor seated area, with barbecue and pizza oven (I don't think the main pictures on booking.com do it justice). Our room was very spacious, and the bed is huge. The kids loved the bunkbeds. Nicely decorated and very clean. Bathroom has a walk in shower. The breakfast was lovely. Pleasing in both size and quality.

Only very minor things. The bathroom could have done with a hook on the door to hang your towel whilst in the shower. The shower looked great but lacked power. We were unable to get the TV to work (although this kept our kids from wanting to look at screens, so it was a bonus for us). Our room was too hot during the night (although we got very lucky with the weather. There were electric heaters in the room, so I suspect being too hot at night is a rare issue in Northumberland). The breakfast finished at 9 (had to drag eldest son out of bed after a day of walking and later than normal bedtime).

Leuk verblijf op een grote boerderij met veel kamers. Niet super veel luxe maar voldoende. Goed ontvangen met goede uitleg, ook van de omgeving en restaurants. Goede uitvalsbasis voor een wandeling langs Hadrians Wall en naar enkele Romeinse forten in de buurt. Het ontbijt is goed en de je kan er ook biljarten of even in de bioscoop vertoeven. Leuk in de omgeving? Een stop bij de brouwerij Twice Brewed voor een pint en eten in de Inn.

Everything and everybody, beautiful views , the pets, the hot milk with cinnamon, the breakfast, all was pleasant and peaceful!
