#Complaint Regarding Denied Check-in and Pressure to Cancel Confirmed Reservation. Dear Booking.com Support Team, I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding a very unpleasant experience with my recent reservation. I had booked a room through Booking.com, and on the day of arrival, the hotel staff contacted me via an application message tool in the afternoon to confirm my arrival time. I clearly informed them in the message that I would be reaching out in the evening. However, when I arrived at the hotel, I was shocked to be told that no rooms were available and that I could not check in, despite holding a confirmed reservation. This caused me significant stress and inconvenience, especially since it was late in the evening. What was even more concerning was that the hotel staff repeatedly instructed and pressured me to cancel the booking from my end. I clearly explained to them that if I cancelled after confirmation, I would have to bear the cancellation charges and pay the room rent. Despite this, they ignored my concerns and continued insisting that I cancel the reservation myself. Additionally, I tried contacting Booking.com customer support immediately, but I was unable to connect with anyone at that time, which made the situation even more frustrating. After a long discussion and considerable stress, the hotel finally arranged a room for me. Although I eventually received accommodation, the entire experience was extremely disappointing, unprofessional, and unacceptable. I request you to: •Investigate this incident thoroughly • Take appropriate action with the property • Clarify why a confirmed booking was not honored • Consider suitable compensation for the mental stress and inconvenience caused. I have been a regular user of Booking.com and did not expect such treatment despite having a confirmed reservation. Looking forward to your prompt response.
