The host was amazing, and so helpful. The accommodation suited us as the check-in times were very flexible., The rooms were a generous size. The property was easy to access.

Comfy bed, friendly welcome. Netflix on the TV in My room. Offer of cakes on arrival, lovely breakfast. Great location to my event at centennial house. Cosy heating.

The first night I had the Hallway lights coming through my window but this was remedied by Nanette on the second night who kindly covered it. The second night was pretty busy with other families and they were making some noise at 5:30am. I recommend you take eye masks and earplugs.

Truly wonderful host. They really make you feel welcome and allow you to relax as if you were in your own home. Room and house were clean, and well organized. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I got freshly baked bread for breakfast :)

No continental breakfast

The location was nice and central. Nannette was a great communicator via email and very friendly. Unfortunately we never met her in person. We met some lovely people from other countries which was lovely.

The breakfast was a let down. It was advertised as a 'Continental' breakfast which usually implies pastries and baked goods. It was just white toast and one type of cereal which no one recognised and not kid friendly. There was not enough butter and it was hard as a rock and we could not spread it. The honey ran out and there was no jam. Also, we cleaned up after ourselves and rinsed all our dishes and put them in the dishwasher but the owner came along and took them all out and stacked them on the bench. We did not know we were not allowed to use the dishwasher and were not happy to hand wash everything. She did not say anything to us, just took them out and put them on the bench. This made us feel very uncomfortable and then we were anxious about using things in the kitchen. The website did say there were stairs in the house; but there are no handrails for any of the internal stairs and the outside handrail at the back of the house is wobbly. My sister has polio and found the stairs extremely hard to manage without handrails. I think handrails should be compulsory in places like this where you cannot avoid taking stairs. We never saw Nanette the whole time we were there only her daughter. We never saw her dressed, no matter what time of day she was in her pyjamas and dressing gown to the point where one guest actually commented on it. Extremely unprofessional. Also, the website said there was an indoor play "area" for the kids. Actually there are a bunch of toys in the "hallway" and if the kids play with them no one can walk past not to mention the noise. Luckily it was fine weather and we could take the kids outside a lot. If there is an actual playroom we never found it.

Nanette and her family were so accommodating and friendly. Room and bed was lovely, so comfortable. Thanks so much!
