Bed and Breakfast Happy Home Taupo Accommodation

Nanette was very welcoming and helpful. She was very quick to offer to ferry guests around Taupo. She somehow managed to drop everything to fetch me from an event, and drop me at the pools before closing. The she picked me up again from there! She put on a generous breakfast for all the guests, and even managed to keep the conversation flowing while cooking eggs. I don't know where she finds the energy.

We had a wonderful Christmas holiday in Taupo with our family. This was our first time spending Christmas abroad. Initially, I considered booking a lakeside hotel by Lake Taupo, but after factoring in the suitable price, secure parking, and other considerations, I chose this place. It turned out to be unexpectedly cozy and welcoming, just like being at home. The host, Nanette, was warm and thoughtful, providing us with a hearty breakfast every morning. Although neither of us is very fluent in English, we had delightful conversations with Nanette and her daughters. As parents, we could sense that she is an incredible mother. What surprised us the most was Nanette’s amazing cupcakes—they were the best we’ve ever had. Thank you so much!

I had an amazing stay at this accommodation during my solo road trip in Taupo. Unfortunately, I ran into some unexpected car troubles, but Nana, the incredible host, stepped in and helped me so much! Her kindness, patience, and willingness to assist went far beyond what I could have hoped for. The place itself was spotless, cozy, and well-maintained. Every little detail made the stay feel special. And the breakfast? Absolutely delicious—such a great way to start the day! I feel so fortunate to have chosen this place and met Nana. If you’re in Taupo and looking for a clean, welcoming, and truly exceptional place to stay, this is it. Highly recommend!
