Wish End Cottage

Fantastic host, very helpful. The cottage is beautiful, cosy and clean while retaining some of its original 17th century period features. We really loved the idyllic location along with the fascinating property history that can be found in the welcome pack. We definately plan to stay again.

Personally not keen on air fresheners!

This is a gorgeous place to stay in a picturesque village. The cottage is cosy with charming old features, but also has the modern conveniences like modern bathrooms, washing machine and dishwasher. It is very close to the local pub which does great food, and wasn't noisy after dark.

Something to be mindful of in a cottage this historic is that people were a lot shorter back then! If you're over 6'2 you'll have to be careful not to bump your head on low beams and doorways.

An old (Victorian?) terraced cottage with lots of character. All essentials provided, but not "going the extra mile"

It's all quite impersonal. Easy to access, comfortable, everything in its place. But no personal touch. Absolutely no complaints, but it feels like an investment property run by agents.

Fantastic little cottage, would recommend highly. Quiet location in village walking distance from 2 pubs and a tai restaurant and post office. Easy to relax and enjoy! Easy instructions to let ourselves in and chocolates and wine waiting for us- lovely. Able to sit outside front door and have our coffee in morning. Clean, nice kitchen and loved the stable door! Good bathroom with shower and bed was good too. Great location to get to Lewes, Eastbourne; in particular up on Beachy Head and Hastings, Brighton and South Downs Way. Lots of lovely local walks. We had a great stay.

We didn't care for the air fresheners... a bit synthetic and didn't need them ( put them all in downstairs loo) , needs a new pull on light pull in downstairs loo. but this is being really picky.

Lovely characterful cottage, we enjoyed walking straight out the door onto the downs and returning to a lovely warm homely house.

The only thing that would have been helpful is to know that the parking is on street before arriving (we were looking for a driveway or something in the dark)
