Comfort Suites At the University

I liked that it was near the university. The young lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful.

The hall carpets were very worn and appeared dirty. There was a musty smell in the Hall and rooms. The room was very humid, despite the air conditioner being on and working. The humidity was so high that the floors were slippery.

It was extremely smelly like mold and not clean. We had to move rooms the shower bar was broken. Breakfast was terrible including the coffee. I don’t understand why this property would be so rundown when it is the closest to coastal Carolina and it is always busy. Why aren’t they putting money into repairs? It was absolutely disgusting and I did not feel well after leaving there breathing and mold for days.

The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The continental breakfast was good and we really enjoyed the fresh waffles.

Staff was nice enough, however, we went to check-in and the person at the desk seemed to be outside on a break. Completely understand needing a break but there was no coverage for her and we needed to return hours later to check in because of the appointment we traveled for.
