MONI FARM HOUSE WILPATTU

Wir hatten eine super Zeit in der Unterkunft! Die Unterkunft liegt mitten in der Natur und ist nicht weit vom Nationalpark. Der Host hat uns eine Safari organisiert. Der Caretaker hat für uns super gekocht ( typisch sri-lankisch) und auch während der Safari wurden wir mit Getränken und Essen versorgt. Wir würden immer wieder kommen.

Hohe Zimmer, verhältnismäßig leise Klimaanlage, Lage mitten in der Natur, Abschiedsgeschenk vom Host erhalten. (Elefant aus Stein geschnitzt)

Bettlaken waren nicht ganz sauber, kein Moskitonetz verfügbar, Ameisen im Bad, im Zimmer und auf der Veranda auf der ganzen Hängematte → Diese war damit nicht benutzbar. Anfahrt zur Unterkunft sehr umständlich über unasphaltierten weg -> fast zu schmal für normalen PKW

What a beautiful accommodation this was! Everything is very new, the room is spacious with air-conditioning and a nice seating area in a very peaceful area, with even a hammock! The warm shower was lovely, and the host was very friendly as well. They can also prepare delicious food for a fair price if asked in advance.

A wonderfully peaceful place, surrounded by nature, many birds and a lake nearby where you can go for a walk. The breakfast and dinner where really delicious. Fresh vegetables, wonderful curry and every thing very tasty. Room nice and spacious.The owner and caretaker speak English very well. All of them very friendly and helpfull. Safari and pick ups where areanged for us. We will definitly go back again when in Wilpattu.

Liegt in der Nähe zum Nationalpark, den Besuch kann man von hier aus buchen. Sehr nettes Verwalterehepaar, alles sauber und nett.

Schwierig zu erreichen, das letzte Straßenstück ist unpassierbar. Über einen Umweg gehts dann mit dem TukTuk. Der Eigentümer ist dabei behilflich.

We loved our stay and would thoroughly recommend staying here. The room was modern, very clean and comfortable. The location is beautiful, so quiet and just a 5 minute walk to a stunning lake. Go for a walk at dusk and you’ll see so many birds. I had really good communication with the owner via WhatsApp both before and during the stay. The owner organised a private safari with an excellent English speaking guide that was a reasonable price. The caretaker and his family are very friendly but don’t speak much English. Definitely have dinner as the meal was delicious!!

Nothing- it was perfect. You are out in the countryside so come prepared with mosquito repellent and expect some bugs.

Lo que más nos gustó es que se encuentra en medio de la selva, en una zona sin apenas casas y con un lago muy cercano que es precioso. Las habitaciones son muy muy buenas, y el chico que te atiende muy simpático, pero apenas habla inglés por lo que la comunicación se hace un poco dificil aunque entre el traductor y llamadas al dueño, que sí habla inglés, terminas por entenderte.

Contratamos con ellos el safari en wilpattu (ellos lo gestionaron) y, además de tener muy mala suerte y no ver ningún animal de los interesantes, la comida que nos dieron dejaba mucho que desear respecto a las que llevaban otras personas. Por esto yo no contrataría el safari con ellos, pero contrataría el alojamiento sin ninguna duda.

New Homestay with comfortable big rooms. Very nice shower, better than what I have at home. Silent airconditioning. Not cheap but worth the price because of the quality of the rooms. Extra will be breakfast 1200,diner 1500, softdrinks 300-500. Food good though. Contact with the manager only by phone, that's a pity, contact with the local family who takes care of the accommodation and food is very good, though little English.
