MONI FARM HOUSE WILPATTU

Wir habrn die Tage in Monis Farm Haus sehr genossen. Das Zimmer ist geräumig und die Betten sind sehr bequem. Es ist ist alles vorhanden und wir wurden vom Gastgeber (nicht der Besitzer) liebevoll umsorgt. Die Terasse lädt zum verweilen ein. Wir haben die Safari über die Unterkunft gebucht und es hat alles geklappt, aber der Fahrer hat kaum Englisch gesprochen, was etwas schade war. Wir hatten eine Full-Day Safari gebucht, dann aber etwas verkürzt, weil es für unseren Geschmack dann doch etwas zu lange war.

If your looking for a well rounded bungalow in a very natural setting this is the one. I went here for birding and the famous Wilpattu safari. Sadith takes amazing care you and he was so kind sharing his internet for a brief moment with me. As written there is no Wi-Fi. To get there is also quite a challenge as not all Tuktuk drivers want to take you there, I managed to find a local guy riding his bike that way for me. Very kind. For bird lovers this place is everything. You can freely hike around to spot countless birds, even more so then during your jeep safari. The lake and rice fields hikes I did around were beautiful. Local farmfamilies smile and wave at you. Monkeys all around. I booked my safari through the owner of the accommodation. Unfortunately the safari agency didn't gave me an English speaking guide as I requested so my private safari tour turned out quiet a lonely one for most of the day! :( The owner gave me back 10% of my money due to this situation. That was really good! Accomodation is clean and very well designed. Airconditioned and lovely porch.

If there's one thing I would like to mention: the pillows are just not so comfortable. They lack some thickness and strength.

Las habitaciones son enormes, nuevas y con un porche a un jardín, el trato fue encantador, la comida muy rica y la ayuda al organizar el safari fueron de 10, volvería sin lugar a duda.

Problemas con el Wifi por poner algo a mejorar, pero quien necesita conectarse a internet cuando estás en el Edén.

The location is great, far from noise. It’s very calm and peaceful. The house is also very clean and spacious. The caretaker, Sadi (I hope I spelled the name correctly), is a super nice guy and always ready to help. He makes staying here even more special. Overall, I would highly recommend to stay here. It is also possible to organize a safari trip. The price seems fair, and the driver will pick you up directly from the house. I was very satisfied with how well it was organized.

Big bed, spacious room. The caretaker made us breakfast to go on safari in the morning and cooked us 2 dinners which were so nice! Very close to the entrance of the national park. You can walk down to the lake at the end of the road also!

Staying here was an absolute delight! The photos truly don’t do justice to the beauty and comfort of the room – it far exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, beautifully maintained, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The owner and the entire team were incredibly warm, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure my trip was unforgettable. They organized an amazing safari for me, making the experience completely hassle-free. The location is perfect, offering a serene and picturesque setting that feels like a true escape into nature. The Sri Lankan food served here was exceptional – fresh, flavorful, and authentic. This is an ideal place for anyone visiting Wilpattu National Park. Highly recommended for the location, hospitality, and overall experience!

Perfekter Ort als Start für Safari in den Wilpattu NP. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, neu, modern und ordentlich. Klimaanlage funktioniert super. Safari kann vom Vermieter zum fairen Preis organisiert werden. Wir hatten mit Manoj den absoluten Traumguide mit Leoparden. In der Nähe ist ein kleiner hübscher See. Das Essen war lecker und ausreichend und wurde vom zuvorkommenden und sehr pünktlichen Housekeeper serviert.

Groot bed, de ligging, ruime douche met shampoo, zeep, tandenborstel en zelfs scheermesje en scheerzeep.

We missen de klamboe vanwege de vele vliegen en insecten.
