Green Vista Ella

We had a great stay at Green Vista and the owners went above and beyond including arranging for my kindle, which I’d mistakenly left behind in a morning rush for the train, to be delivered to my hotel in Nuwara Eliya. I can’t thank them enough, the breakfast was fab too.

The only slight let down was that the window frames in our room were quite damaged, to the extent that there were holes. I think we were woken up by the culprit the next day… an overzealous woodpecker! Irrespective of this the room was comfortable, clean and great VfM.

Beautiful view, quiet, very helpful staff, cosy room, comfortable bed and pillows, clean and new bathroom, hot water, kettle, fridge.

Super friendly staff, kind to help. Decent size room, and breakfast is pretty decent .

The location of the property is about 25 walking time to Ella town, if you try to take a taxi through Pickme Up or Uber they do not come because they like to overcharge tourists .

We found a truly relaxing environment here, with incredible mountain views. Our room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, and also had an extraordinary view. The breakfast offered was fresh and delicious, a perfect start to the day. The staff was fantastic – they made us feel at ease right away, offering helpful advice and support. Their friendliness created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The distance from the center is not an issue, as tuk-tuks can easily be arranged at very competitive prices. All of this made our stay in Ella truly unforgettable. Thank you, Green Vista!

I liked everything, from the guy who runs the hotel, who was super friendly and always available, to the magnificent views and the hot water shower. I would definitely repeat.

It was very difficult getting to our rooms. We had to climb a hill (took took drivers would not go up) and then over 150 steps until we got to our room Breakfast was basic Hotel location is not near the Ella center
