Sky Heaven Hotel

We came here for a night. Upon arrival I was told by the hotel staff that my boyfriend (who is Sri Lankan) was not allowed in the facility because they didn’t allowed locals to stay in the hotel "as Sri Lankan causes problems" as the receptionist said. And that only I (a foreigner) was allowed to stay. Needless to say that we left right away. Don’t give your money to a racist facility !

Отзывчивый персонал, все наши пожелания были исполнены. В номере есть чайный уголок. Наш номер был с маленьким окном на втором этаже, было тихо и уютно. Ощущение, что в номерах недавно сделали ремонт, все новое, чистое. Большая, удобная кровать, тихий кондиционер и телевизор с множеством каналов. По дороге к отелю находится главный вьюпоинт города, на озеро и храм. В пешей доступности все достопримечательности города.

Очень крутой подъем. Лучше воспользоваться тук туком если с багажом.

Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit! Das Zimmer war sehr sauber.

Unser Zimmer war etwas dunkel und das Bett ein wenig zu hart. Für den Preis jedoch sehr fair!

The rooms were spacious and clean enough, the wifi worked well for the most part and the AC functioned properly. The shower worked well too and having a desk was useful with the electric kettle. The property is located up a hill away from the town but that suited me and was only a short walk down to reach the main city.

The room I booked was on the ground floor next to the kitchen and reception rooms and the walls were very thin. The manager would stay into the evening and come down early in the morning and open up and use the kitchen so the smell of onion came through into my space. Loud voices and phone calls could be heard through the walls/ doorway. In the nighttime when upstairs rooms used water it would come gushing through a pipe that sounded loudly in the room. There is construction taking place next door which caused banging and drilling noises. The first night I was locked in the downstairs without a key to get out if I needed to. The manager had little understanding of professional behaviour. He asked me to open my door late at night to talk, tried to open my door to respond to a complaint without knocking and sat in the reception making video calls in the evening and drinking with other guests or alone. As a solo female traveller I didn't appreciate it and didn't feel comfortable. I made my complaints well known and would receive apologies and promise to keep quiet but it still persisted and I didn't sleep at all well due to these reasons. The room itself was very good for the price and had everything I needed but I felt the personnel was not genuine or considerate towards me..

Luidruchtig personeel, om half 8 gaat de televisie met veel herrie aan. Geen zeep en kleine deken. Ook kregen we bij het uitchecken commentaar op de hoeveelheid afval die in ons prullenbakje zak.

La struttura è a 10-15 min dal centro a seconda che si faccia la discesa o la salita, la camera era grande e pulita, con tutti i comfort e la doccia migliore che abbiamo avuto durante il nostro viaggio in Sri Lanka. Il wifi non funzionava ma i dati del cellulare funzionavano benissimo. Il servizio di lavanderia è molto caro considerato lo standard e lo sconsiglio.

Amazing stay! The owner of the guesthouse made delicious breakfast, helped me as I arrived with some issues/problems. He supported me with everything and is a very caring and nice person. You feel very safe here. The room and shower are great, very clean and the bed is big and very comfortable! Loved it here!

Very Basic, but with all yoy might need, including hot water, sir con and wifi. Exceptionally clean and welcoming. The staff was amazingly kind and helpful. Be aware is high up on Hill, so you will need tuk tuk going to it.

No view, steep and long walk uphill. No window in room.
