"Great value for money would definitely stay again even though we were only there to sleep"

The beds were super comfy, staff were lovely and was a nice atmosphere

The shower wasn’t very hot or very pressurised and looked like it could do with a face lift compared to the bedroom which looked new

Everything ! Bathroom disgusting. No chef for meals or breakfast Monday or Tuesday 20 min drive to find somewhere to eat

The staff - Rob and his team were all very pleasant and friendly. The location was perfect for us as it was within walking distance of a family get-together.

The first room we were allocated (room 1) had issues with the bath and overhead shower - most issues have already been mentioned in previous reviews but, obviously, not acted upon. We couldn't use the bath as the shower connector to the taps was in the shower position and I couldn't move the selector without the risk of breaking it (a cheap plastic lever). The shower couldn't be used as we couldn't control the temperature (either scalding or cold). Water also sprayed out from the main body of the connector! On a Friday night the room was extremely noisy and we were unable to get to sleep until gone 1am. Breakfast was, at best, average with no juices or cereals on offer. We were going to cut our losses and go home despite being booked in for 2 nights but were persuaded to stay after being given apologies and a different room for the second night (with a proper working shower!). We had a quiet, peaceful sleep the second night and the shower worked fine but we went elsewhere for breakfast (Hillers farm shop and garden centre). In general, both rooms were far beyond "tired", the mattresses well past their best and the fixtures and fittings of low quality. We paid a premium price (£85 per night, room only) for budget quality accommodation. The only good point was Rob and his staff were lovely.

"Second stay."

Our second stay. Nice room with extremely comfortable bed. Excellent, friendly and efficient staff. They cooked us dinner even though we were a bit late arriving. Good outside area for having a drink.

Noisy bathroom fan from bedroom next-door. However, this would not put me off returning.
