Big Cats Namibia Farmstays

Beautiful setting, welcoming hosts, and the meals were excellent. The three bedroom house is very spacious, the beds very comfortable, and the outdoor area is fun.

We had cold showers as someone had forgotten to light the fire to heat the water. I'm sure this was an unfortunate one-off though! We also would have appreciated a few more general house and meal instructions.

The food that was prepared for us , and the lovely big beds were very comfy. Very sweet, cordial owners.

Le petit déjeuner est copieux, frais et varié. les diners sont d'une qualité irréprochables et la viande est vraiment exceptionnelle. Les propriétaires et le personnel sont discrets, prévenants et souriants. Nous recommandons sans réserve !

Tolles Haus in wunderschöner, naturnaher Lage. Von der Terasse kann man hunderte von Vögeln auf den Bäumen am Wasserloch beobachten. Rolf und Rachel sind tolle Gastgeber, sollten wir nochmals nach Namibia kommen, Big Cats Namibia ist unser Favorit.

We were pleasantly surprised with the hospitality and house when we arrived. Its very rare to have an expeirence better than what you see in photos or reviews, but this is truely a special place. We weren’t sure if we would be sharing the accomidation, but we were so happy when we arrived to have this massive place to ourselves. The hosts were so nice, we had problems with our cooler and they let us keep everything in their fridge. They even offered to cook for us if we wished. The outdoor seating areas was beautiful with a big place to cook, a seating area, dug in fireplace and a cold plunge. All right in front of the water hole to view the animals. We did the sundowner combo safari, and it was amazing. The night drive was a highlight of our trip. They also now have a debit machine to allow for card payments. They really take the feedback and learn from it. We would recomend this stay to anyone visiting Namibia, it shouldnt be missed.

Wow! What an absolute gem. We were wonderfully surprised by this place far exceeding our expectations. Incredible value for money for an amazingly authentic bushveld stay. It is MAGICAL and the owners' passion for people and their farm shows.

Gosh - hard to give Rolf and Rachel the praise they deserve. The accommodation, farm, location - everything was perfect. We stayed for 2 nights and my son never wanted to leave. We spent our evenings enjoying a braai while sipping wine and cooling down in the pool while watching the animals come and go by the waterhole. That's about as good as it gets anywhere. I can also highly recommend the game drive, the farm is beautiful and the nature is untouched. Kids loved it! The authenticity of the Namibian bushveld experience here would be very difficult to replicate anywhere else. Absolute luxury in the bush.

Diese Unterkunft war die Beste unserer Tour. Das lag maßgeblich an unseren Gastgebern Rachel und Rolf, für die es das Wichtigste war, uns den Aufenthalt so perfekt wie möglich zu gestalten. Wir wurden in der großen Küche des Farmhauses, das wir für uns allein hatten, von den beiden und Rachels Schwester bekocht. Die Bezahlung war unkompliziert. Wir konnten problemlos mit Karte bezahlen und brauchten kein Bargeld. Das WLAN war dank eines neuen starken Routers sehr gut. Keine 100 Meter von unserer Terrasse befand sich das Wasserloch und wir sahen Giraffen und viele andere Tiere aus nächster Nähe. Ein besonderes Erlebnis war die Pirschfahrt über die Wildtierfarm und wir konnten unvergessliche Eindrücke sammeln. Wir waren froh, für zwei Nächte gebucht zu haben und wären gern noch länger geblieben. Die Unterkunft ist barrierefrei. Zur Terrasse und am Eingang befinden sich nur eine Stufe, die mit Rampe ausgestattet oder mit tatkräftiger Unterstützung bewältigt werden können. Auch für die Pirschfahrt war der Rollstuhl kein Problem. Er wurde kurzerhand hinten auf den Pick-Up gestellt. Zum Jahresende wird die unterirdische Beobachtungslounge fertig sein, von der aus man die Tiere direkt am Wasserloch beobachten und fotografieren kann. Sozusagen Face to Face. Das gibt es meines Wissens sonst nur noch in SA und Botswana. Dort wird man sogar übernachten können.

Nichts ! Es war perfekt !

Wir hatten sehr viel Platz und Rachel und Rolf haben uns verwöhnt. Zuerst machten wir eine Safari und danach genossen wir das fantastische Barbecue. Die Feuerstelle mit Blick auf das beleuchtete Wasserloch waren gigantisch.
