Small bathroom

The barn is large and spacious. The position is quiet with lovely gardens. Claire was very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. The bathroom is large and the electric shower is very good. Good washing machine, dishwasher we didn't use and plenty of hot water. They have a lovely little dog called Woofie! Romsey is a lovely village with Waitrose and Aldi, lots of coffee shops.

Regrettably the furniture could do with being updated. It is old and the chairs are in poor condition. The wardrobe is too narrow to hang clothes in. The doors could not be closed. We stayed for 4 weeks and would have appreciated their cleaner giving the barn a vacuum. Claire said we could use her cleaner but would have to pay £20.00. With a 28 day booking it would have been fairer if she had paid for it. Other than this we had a lovely stay.

Das Quartier war, aufgrund mangelnder Hausnummern schwer zu finden. Das Haus, eine umgebaute Scheune, hat auf jeden Fall seinen Charme! Es bietet viel Platz, die Einrichtung passt zum Stil und ist sehr geschmackvoll! Ist man mit dem Auto unterwegs, kann man quasi vor der Haustür parken. Auf der anderen Seite des Hauses lädt der Garten zum Frühstück oder Dinner im Freien ein! Aber aufgepasst, es handelt sich um ein Apartment zur Selbstversorgung und im Ort selbst gibt es keinen Supermarkt! Wohl aber im bezaubernden Städtchen Romsey, nur etwa 4 Meilen/10 Autominuten entfernt. Auch Winchester und Salisbury sind nicht sehr weit entfernt und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind innerhalb einer Autostunde erreichbar!

Die Fenster lassen sich, wie fast überall in England, nicht kippen. Das Wasser von der Leitung würde ich nicht zum Trinken empfehlen, es hat einen Touch von Chlor. Mir persönlich war das Bett zu weich…

Everything. Claire is a wonderful host. A lovely barn conversion and so well equipped with everything you need. Very scenic and authentic. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

No negatives.

Very spacious and well renovated barn with large doors and windows and plenty of light, excellent garden views on both sides. Very good bathroom and easy parking. Extremely comfortable bed and easy drive to Mottisfont Abbey and beautiful gardens, and to Romsey.

A little hard to find. Weak wifi signal, no info booklet on the area or barn that I could find, other than that provided verbally by host upon arrival.
