"Worth a visit"

8.0

Huge foot print, in line with the cost of a suite in the De vere. Clean throughout, the breakfast bar a lovely touch. I had missed the welcome instructions and phoned the owner very late into the night, she was however incredibly helpful even though I felt daft it was avoidable

Whilst I’m sure it is safe Secuirty was by far our biggest concern for previous guests knowing the codes to rooms, with a secluded site with no natural reception one could fear the worst, given the age of the property naturally there’s the odd creak/ pipe work knock which you would expect however this can play tricks on the mind and we would have hope for internal locks. The pressure on the shower was a little weak.

"We loved our beautiful stay and were so excited to have an included tour of the property as an addition! Would recommend"

9.0

Staying in a Jacobean property and it’s beautiful gardens, the gorgeous large room and bathroom. The extra touches of a welcome basket and lots of welcome information was so easy to use. Loved the ability to access the other door in the gardens to the rest of the town.

Not a negative and very minor but maybe not enough lamps or plug sockets

"Lovely stay in a mansion"

10.0

The Eric room was huge. There was a refrigerator in the corner. Light breakfast was provided. Within walking distance to town. Plenty of parking space. We are glad we stayed 2 nights in this Jacobean mansion.

The water pipe made a loud bang in the middle of the night, gave us a bit of a fright.

"Felt like a princess and would stay again and again!"

10.0

I was in awe when I arrived, the building is absolutely beautiful and the grounds you can explore are stunning. The instructions to enter the property are easy and the room itself, well it took my breath away! The bathroom was incredibly clean and the pillows/doona were great. The tea/coffee area with a mini fridge and snacks was a great touch. The little museum inside is a must see and using the secret door in the garden wall to access town!

The mattress was a little uncomfortable but considering all the amazing stuff it’s a tiny thing in comparison.

"A unique place to stay - it feels like being a guest in someone’s stately home rather than a hotel or self catering apar"

10.0

Stunning building and surroundings, very comfortable bed, spacious room, lovely breakfast hamper, quiet location but within easy walk of restaurants and town.

Minor point, but we would have appreciated more power sockets in the room.

"Wonderful tranquil location, steeped in history. A real find and we will be back."

10.0

Loved the setting, felt like you were in a country setting but within the heart of town (you walk alongside a huge lawn to the far stone walls to find a secret gate into the town) . Felt like we were the only people there as was so quiet. Bedroom was huge proportions. Able to see the downstairs rooms in the morning when they opened at 10. The grounds are gorgeous (even on a rainy miserable day). Loved meeting Matthew in the morning, he was incredibly knowledgeable and we felt like we could have talked all day, lovely gentleman ❤️

There wasn’t any negative points for us.
