We paid for a superior room with a garden view but we were given a standard room with no view and as we were staying for 2 nights a garden view would have been lovely. Our windows faced onto the main room so you had to keep the blinds closed when you got dressed

Nice property within walking distance of the towns amenities. Large spacious room. Friendly and helpful owners.

A little noisy due to builders at ajoining property.

Location was fantastic a short walk to the restaurants and bars in Ballater. Our room was beautiful very comfortable. Cathy and Alan were superb hosts. It was a bonus having a fridge in the room. The breakfast provided was healthy and tasty. Thank you and see you next year :-)

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days staying at Cathy’s home. A very friendly host. It was easy to come and go as we pleased and parking available by the roadside or safely at the rear. The breakfast in our room was ideal and most adequate. Having the use of a fridge was helpful. The location was good for short walks beside the river or longer mountain walks by car. Perfect really. A good choice of eateries in the town.
