Spacious Studio Apartment In Cardiff City Centre

Was not sent code for key box, so couldn't enter. The landlord ignored all forms of available contact. Had to get hold of booking.com, who were brilliant and tried to get hold of Landlord who didn't reply in the 30minitue window so booking.com said we could book alternative accommodation and be reimbursed a portion of the difference. So avoid this Landlord at all costs!!!!

It was in good distance for the city centre

It wasn’t cleaned at all the cupboards was full with takeaway boxes with food still in it, moldy bread, a glass cup with something stale in it, big shard of glass under the bed, chocolate on the floor, no clean towels, hair in the shower and on the drain

No communication despite messages on booking . Com and what’s app and calls. No number provided to get into the lock box to get the key to the apartment, which we found was smashed open when we got there. This was Paid in full and he even accepted more money for an early check in … Our whole day was completely ruined as we had to scrap our plans and find somewhere else to stay and pay for it. We are furious , this was so stressful and I was really upset that someone can operate like this in what’s supposed to be a reputable site. There are similar reviews on now which obviously weren’t there when we booked so others have raised this as an issue yet he was still allowed to do this to us. Really poor management and customer care from booking.com

Can't say as couldn't stay

Ethan messaged me in the day to say he was waiting for the cleaners, then I received what seemed like an automated message like when I originally booked to say a fire had happened in the place. Currently waiting to receive money back for the booking as I had to book somewhere else to stay

The property hadn’t been cleaned, rubbish still in the bin, shower plug disgusting, stains on the floor. Stained toilet. Coffee and tea pots dirty.

Very disappointed and have to give a bad review as this was cancelled by the vendor at the last minute ( we had arrived) Still haven't received a refund and was left out of pocket and stranded which ruined my plans.. avoid at all costs

Nothing, absolute filthy place the whole experience was really bad. We had to clean the place from top to bottom, had to stay there as it was last minute. Have never felt angry enough to bother leaving a review. The only way for this host to learn is if people don't spend money with him. I was shocked at how easy it seems for a person to rent their own flat on booking.com . The stale smell permeates the place seems like it's coming from the walls or floorboards. Do yourself a favour and book somewhere else. Hopefully you read this before you make a big mistake. If the host is reading this you know exactly what you are doing, it's not the first time. 0 * thumbs down. Take our advice and clean your flat, how can you live like that. You have to laugh almost that there are some people like this. Feels better to vent, back home now.

The host has a terrible attitude no help at all no communication ignored all the calls never answered one call this guy made excuses for everything saying he was in a meeting, having dinner you name it he had an answer for completely ignoring all the issues at this apartment. No towels, dirty bedsheets. Stale food left in fridge and on the work top. Spacious? Lol .

Absolutely appalling. First of all it’s important to note that we are two young girls travelling for a concert that we’d be planning for over a year. As soon as we arrived at the property, our faces dropped. The conditions were horrendous. There were overflowing bins outside the building with squashed tomato, peppers and empty beer bottles on the floor. We’d arranged for early check in, and been sent a generic email about a lock box with the number 4 on it. When we got there, the lockbox was smashed to pieces and the key nowhere in sight. We rang the host 10 times with no answer, and sent numerous messages both through booking.com and WhatsApp. 40 minutes later he responded informing that the previous guest had smashed the box and the key was hung inside the property foyer. If it weren’t for a resident who let us in, we are unsure as to how the owner expected us to retrieve a key from the inside. When we got in the property, the pictures speak for themselves. Nothing had been cleaned. There was stains and hairs on the bedsheet, mouldy food in the fridge causing a bad small and attracting flies (through the window the owner had left open) and muddy/sticky footprints in the shower and all over the floor. The previous guest had left items in the bathroom and bedroom, and crumbs all over the kitchen side. To top it off, there was also no toilet roll, just an empty cardboard roll. When we saw the state of the property, we did message the owner to see if he had forgotten to clean it. We received no response, and have not to this date. Please also note that we felt unsafe in the property, something to be mindful of if you’re young women/solo travelling. This was to the extent that we stayed in the property for a grand total of one hour. Following the concert, we had to drive two hours home on the basis that the property was nothing short of a biohazard. Avoid at ALL COSTS. So disappointed in the lack of owner communication.

The location was very poor. Looked very run down. The key code boxes were all smashed in. When I messaged to get the code for the key box I was messaged back to say that the apartment had been double booked and we were not able to stay there. I tried calling the host and he hung up on me and told me he was on a flight. Very disappointed!! We had to find alternative accommodation.
