This could easily be the best place to stay in Moalboal for a couple that wants a quiet place at night. Construction wise, it’s top notch. However, the owner seems to be absent and the staff have no inclination to keep things working. So let’s start with “hot tub” that’s advertised for the location. The “hot” part of the hot tub hasn’t worked in over a year the staff told me. No plans of fixing it either. So you get very cold water in the morning and somewhat warm water in the evening. Next, let’s talk about the leaky stove. Yes that’s right, gas leaks into the apartment. We complained about the smell, nothing happened. When we figured out it was the liquid petroleum gas (LPG) tank that the stove uses, we got the tank replaced. However that didn’t stop the stove from leaking gas. My wife and I just learned to turn the gas on and off when we needed the stove. Next let’s talk about the electricity. Now power outages are a common thing in the Philippines and I would never count those against a location, but this wasn’t a power outage. The main breaker flipped daily, even when nothing was in use. Thankfully they brought in an electrician on the 4th day of our stay and replaced the main breaker. Then let’s talk about the water heater in the shower. It was going out when we checked in. We could take a semi hot shower for a few minutes but on day 6 of our stay, it finally went out. Mike the service guy came to check it out, and despite the digital display that said 30°C and didn’t change, he said the hot water heater was working and to just “give it time”. I had to take a 2 minute video and send it to his WhatsApp showing it didn’t matter how long we waited, it still wouldn’t warm the water. He finally replaced it after that. So I guess the first time he just didn’t want to. After the beaker was fixed, the WiFi router started acting up. Not a huge deal, just had to turn it off and back on, except it was 3-4 times a day.

The attendant, Mark, was very helpful and really went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable.

Big room! Nice comfy bed. Larger room than average. Would be great for longer stays. We stayed in studio room, upstairs. Has a balcony with a nice view! Great for a evening drink. Very quiet. This part of Moalboal has not been built up yet, hence, it's very quiet. Some places are too loud to sleep without earplugs. No problems here.

Because it's not built up, lack of nearby food. 2-3 min walk to main road to catch a scooter. Previous review mentioned owner would help with transport. We had our own scooter, so that wasn't an issue.
