Nice personnel, clean and tidy room, close by the port.

Very annoying front door policy. Someone must open door to leave. So if owner is checking people in you can wait 10 minutes to be able to leave building. No tea kettle on room. Minimal breakfast. Hot water for tea not very hot. Too many sweets. Bicycles all broken. In reply to your response: Door policy: please read review again for details. There should be a latch inside so guest can open door to let oneself out when Owner is not there or busy checking someone in. Or excuse yourself to let guests out. Bicycles: I DID ask and were told the bicycles were broken and none were available for loan. Breakfast: too many sweets. Not balanced. Low quality. Been in UG for 2 weeks and this was worst of all the breakfasts. Sorry for the truth.

The room is quite spacious and the common areas are welcoming. The posada is a beautiful building that is protected and historically important because Uruguayan writer Mario Levrero lived there. The owners have a delicate sense of style based on simplicity but also with some luxurious items like the big glass ceiling lamp. Breakfast was as sophisticated as expected with several choices of cake and delicious coffee. Value is okay. Location is very convenient at a ,short distance from both the omnibus terminal and the ferry terminal and the old village area is not far either.

The staff ar Posada Boutique Le Vrero only accepted cash payment on arrival and they did not provide a receipt or invoice as a proof that you had paid them first of all. That took me completely by surprise. There was no room cleaning service.

Excellent value for money. Lovely presented place and breakfast. I always appreciate having access to teas/coffees throughout the day. I was only one night to be close to the bus station but I would recommend for more. Be aware and read conditions as payment cash only

This is a lovely property and I would stay again but ask for a quieter room if available. My room was facing the street so it was quite noisy.

The owners clearly take pride in their clean and comfortable establishment. The location is excellent — a Short 5”’walk to the ferry terminal and bus station, and 10” or so to centre of town. Satisfying breakfast in a lovely courtyard.

The inn is beautiful and the atmosphere is very cozy. The room and bathroom are impeccably clean. Nazareno and Victoria are super attentive and helpful. We only stayed for one night, but as soon as we arrived, we already regretted not having planned to stay longer at the inn and in the city. We definitely want to come back and stay at this inn.

We loved everything.
