Kyoto Waka Hotel

The owner made my experience exceptional. She gave me recommendations on what to do in Kyoto including places where tourists don’t usually visit. The room was comfortable and clean but it’s the owner’s hospitality that made this visit truly memorable. Great value as well.

The staff was really helpful, room had everything needed, communication with hotel was quick.

The air conditioning was hard to adjust to perfect temperature but I think it’s more of a skill issue than hotel room issue

The property was very clean and managed by one of the most cheerful and positive people I’ve ever met. She personally showed me in and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay. Every time we met in the lobby she always asked if I needed anything. Overall I felt very well taken care of and was extremely grateful for the kindness and hospitality. I got a great deal through booking.com and the location was really no problem as the bus to Kyoto station was easy. If I can work out another trip to Kyoto, I will be staying here again.

The owner is very nice, and the stay os good. It’s a bit far away for the kyoto station, but it's convenient that got bus stop around here.

Nice hotel, great deal for money. In a nice quiet area, you will see parts of Kyoto you wouldn’t normally see as a tourist. Close to public transport. Owner is SO LOVELY, will help you with anything you need! Really recommend staying here.

Not a complaint, but there is no elevator so be prepared to carry your luggage possibly up 4 flights of stairs. But it’s fine if you have packed light :)
