Ocean Haze Hotel

It was a warm and comfortable stop while travelling, location was convenient.

Nothing

It was quiet and clean, bed was comfortable. It was within walking distance into St Davids.

Neither the blinds nor the windows would open. Shower head joint was leaking.

Easy to find and close to the city.

Every 5 minutes or so a toilet mascerator pump was running. The bed was only a double, would of excepted a king, and the carpet through the whole place was badly stained.

Property was clean and comfortable.

Stairs up to room. Quite steep and narrow.

Hoards of Beetles coming up from the drain in the wet room and in sleeping area. Room not cleaned and beds changed often enough. Once in an 8 night stay. Dining room not laid up and poor service and selection of food.

This is our second stay here. It's changed hands since our first stay. In general it's a decent place to stay, a nice walk into St Davids, 20 minutes at our pace. Didn't have any meals here this time so can't review that aspect.

As I've already said, second stay here. The staff are almost invisible. You have to ring them to get someone to attend reception to check in. If anything is unsatisfactory with your room, you have to ring someone because reception is vacant as usual. On arrival at our room we found the hot tap on the hand basin was broken (this had almost certainly been like this for a while, certainly when the cleaners would have cleaned the bathroom) I rang to let staff know what the problem was and gave them permission to enter the room to repair the tap because we were going out. To cut a long story short, they weren't at all helpful and it wasn't repaired. The following day we checked out (keys in the box, no staff) Later that afternoon someone rang me to check everything was ok, because they couldn't get someone to fix the tap, I had to reiterate that it should have been fixed before we arrived and not just left for us to find the problem. The guy asked if he could make me a goodwill payment to make up for the inconvenience. I accepted and it was decided he would send me an Amazon gift card as he didn't have my bank details. That was on the 10th of August 2025...... September 6th 2025 ? I'm still waiting 🤷 I won't be staying at Ocean Haze a third time.
