The Ardingly Inn

Beautiful room in a very quiet village. Staff were so friendly and the pub beneath was dog friendly!! Bed was very comfy and it was a very comfortable stay

I booked thinking there was a restaurant attached but arrived and staff said there wasn't. On the day I arrived no food places or take-aways were open so hot food wasn't an option which was disappointing. Had I known that beforehand I would have prepared or booked somewhere else. The room had large cobwebs from the ceiling and there were few plugs convenient, including one behind the bed.

Disappointing

Not clean, no hot water, room not ready on arrival. Screws and raw plugs left on floor. Hoover in the middle of floor. Loo row ran out, no one to report it too! Uncomfortable bed. Heating not working . Nothing sorted on reporting the problem to the only member of staff on site.

Where it is situated

No chef, no hot food, no staff at night. self service in the morning. Coffee machine dubious!!! We were the only people in the pub overnight Soulless feel. Had to use the cafe next door for breakfast. Felt like an empty village hall!!! Honestly very disappointed .

the rooms were nice. Decor was lovely and beds comfortable. Things were clean. Location was great. They allowed my dog and greeted us warmly with a dog treat.

There was no restaurant (pub is open for drinks only), no chef, and no night staff. I would have felt safer if there was 24-hour staff in building. It would have been nicer if there was more to eat than crisps in the evening and sliced bread for breakfast.

No cooked food could not get tea or coffee. Just a few cereals and toast no staff anywhere

Certainly not a deluxe room, mattress over hanging the base bathroom minute, not handwashing provided, coffee cups not cleaned or changed. Drinking glass was so filthy it was literally welded to the coaster

Nice looking pub, quiet, clean, simple room. Lindfield is nearby and has a great atmosphere. Staff accommodating. The village is super quiet.

Restaurant closed (no chef so could be temporary, but I booked a table and had no warning), pub empty so no atmosphere. They opened the restaurant for us to have an early breakfast but no tea or coffee available, I even had to buy my own peanut butter from nearby shop! Room very warm.

Das Frühstück bestand aus Toast und abgepackter Butter sowie Marmelade. Als wir zum Frühstück kamen war kaum noch genügend Milch da für vier Kaffee, geschweige denn für die neben dem Toast angebotenen Rice Crispies. Da niemand da war, konnte man auch keine Milch nachordern. Der Kaffee an sich war aber gut.
