Remote. Forgotten Rivers

This is an exceptionally remote area. We originally planned to take tours from here but ended up staying there for three days, not moving the car at all. We hiked along the lake and into the hills enjoyed the night sky, and the quietness of the location. The hosts were very accommodating and made us feel like part of the family. This was just perfect for us and our goal to experience the lake and its surroundings.

The cottages are newly built, and not all amenities have been implemented yet. Be prepared that the trip from Bishkek will take longer than you might think since many road sections are under construction. I recommend getting a vehicle suitable for off-road driving.

The lovely host were super friendly and did everything they could to accommodate our stay and gave great tips for our onward journey. Dinner and breakfast was more than we could wish for. The facilities itself are beyond words. The most beautiful and jaw-dropping place we have ever stayed. Would come back anytime.

The hotel is splendid! The road to the hotel is a miraculous experience as it leads through a picturesque canyon! The view from the villas is stunning, just the lake and nothing else. Feels really private and remote. At night there are stars all around the sky, we've even seen the Milky Way! All the amenities are decent, the villas are comfy and cozy. It's a unique destination, definitely worth visiting to feel the real non-touristic Issyk Kul.
