The Lotus Villa Sigiriya

The owner was fantastic, always willing to assist with queries and organised a great Tuk Tuk driver who spoke good English and had very reasonable prices. The room was a decent size, with a kettle and bottled water provided, A/C and hot water in the large shower. Breakfast was basic but good and differed every day. The hotel is currently undergoing construction to add additional rooms but it was not noisy during the time I was there. WiFi was good too!

Not totally negative but just observations: the room does not have many plug points. The owner kindly arranged a safari which ended up being at Hurulu Eco Park. Whilst the price was OK, the tour guide had basic English skills and was not widely versed in other animals/birds.

We had a lovely stay at the Lotus Villa. The hosts were very friendly and explained us a lot about the place and the nature surrounding it. The room had a beautiful view and everything we needed to rest and relax.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at this property. The host and his family were so welcoming and kind with great hospitality. The host was very attentive and even took us to a restaurant on one of the nights we stayed, he provided information about everything. The room was clean, had brilliant air con and the property was sat in the jungle away from the main road so it was extremely peaceful. You woke up to the sound of wildlife around you which was amazing! The breakfast provided was delicious and a great way to introduce a traditional sri lankan breakfast. The main strip was about a 10 minute walk and lions rock was about a 20 minute walk.

It was a wonderful hotel. The view from the window was spectacular, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel staff prepared my preferred breakfast at a time that was convenient for me. The room was comfortable, and it was a 30-40 minute walk to Sigiriya Rock. It was also about a 20 minute walk to the lake overlooking Sigiriya Rock. The neighborhood was a little noisy, and the Wi-Fi was a little weak, but considering the price, it wasn't a problem.

The location was great and very convenient for visiting Sigiriya Rock. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They was help me to get tuktuk early morning for drop me to pidurangala rock. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing.

The WiFi connection was a bit slow at times, and the water pressure in the bathroom could be improved.

There is excellent hospitality. Everyone is friendly and happy. The room has everything you need. The cleanliness is very good. All that’s left is to enjoy the holiday.
