The Lotus Villa Sigiriya

Come già è stato detto da altri ospiti in altri, la struttura deve ancora essere finita. Quando abbiamo soggiornato noi, non c’erano lavori e di consegue nessun rumore molesto. Io posso solo dire che il piano finito dove ci sono le camere è davvero bello e ben tenuto, la vista dalle finestre delle camere dà sulle risaie e c’è una pace surreale. Menzione d’onore alle persone che gestiscono questo hotel… hanno una premura e un’attenzione per gli ospiti davvero rara. Non ci hanno fatto mai andare nulla, sempre disponibili ad ogni richiesta e ci hanno dato un sacco di consigli su come spostarsi e cosa vedere. Siamo stati benissimo e spero un giorno di tornare per vedere l’hotel finito!

Breakfast was very good and local food was served. We had breakfast 2 days end it was different every day which was great.

Lovely place, slightly tucked away from the main road but just a short walk (a couple of minutes). It’s not the most convenient with vehicles since the small street leading there isn’t in great condition (though this doesn’t seem to bother the locals). At the moment there are some improvements being made to the facilities, but they weren’t disturbing at all. The staff were incredibly welcoming and did everything to make us feel comfortable. The room was spacious, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was tasty, with local dishes and fresh fruit.

The only small note is that at checkout we were asked to pay in cash. It wasn’t an issue for us, but it might be inconvenient for tourists who don’t carry much cash.

Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den ausgesprochen netten Gastgeber! Er ist sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Wir haben auch die Lage sehr geschätzt, da sie Nahe des Lion Rock liegt (theoretisch 25min zu Fuß) und trotzdem abseits der Hauptstraße zwischen Reisfeldern auf einen kleinen Weg liegt.

Leider hatte es im Bad einen unangenehmen Geruch, wir vermuten der Kanal steckt dahinter. Außerdem hat uns das Frühstück mäßig begeistert, sehr einfach gehalten und teilweise bereits kalt.

Pas de restaurant, pas de service de linge etc…

Els esmorzars són d'un altre univers, increïbles. Tot menjar local i t'expliquen què és cada cosa amb molt de detall i entusiasme. El personal és molt agradable. Ens van avisar que hi havia obres (augmenten la capacitat) però no ens han molestat gens.

Ens va costar de trobar el primer dia perque encara no té cartell identificatiu.

Établissement au calme avec des hôtes très serviable, laundry, course en tuktuk... Le petit déjeuner est parfait pour bien débuter la journée. Il est également très bien situé avec des restaurants à proximité en tuktuk ainsi que pour les visites culturelles aux alentours. Encore merci pour ce beau séjour.
