ININOne of the best homestay setups I’ve stayed at since I started traveling in 2013. I’ve seen Bir Billing up close in 2017, 2019, and now again in 2026. While most of the area has become commercial over the years, this place remains slightly away from the hustle of Bir town’s main colony. You do need to climb a little to reach the property, but there is a clear, well-developed road all the way up, so accessibility is not an issue. I drove my car directly to the Airbnb’s parking area, which says enough about how easy it is to reach. Breakfast is included in the stay. Do not miss the cheese and mushroom omelette—easily one of the best omelettes I’ve had. About the property: I had zero idea about LOTR, but later learned that the entire theme is based on Lord of the Rings. The place is cozy, with three rooms, a common area with a fireplace, and a kitchen. It has a wide garden and completely unobstructed views. There is ample sunlight during the day, and nights get properly cold. On a clear night, you can see the stars. What stood out was the attention to detail throughout the stay—small plants in the washrooms and near the windows, well-thought-out lighting that is neither dull nor harsh, decent-sized beds, and a warm, comfortable house overall. The fireplace was a genuine pleasure. Unlike many other places, there were no extra charges for using it. The host was kind enough to let us enjoy it freely and even brought small wood blocks to help start the fire easily. The kitchen is very well set up and has almost everything you need. Just bring your groceries and cook. We prepared our own dinner without any issues. About the host: Geeta is very sweet, respects your privacy, is a delight to talk to, and is clearly living her dream. My best wishes to Geeta. Kudos for the work you’ve done at The Hobbit. Bonus: One of the very few stays where they provided heating pads on the mattress.

INININThe property is absolutely beautiful, very warm and cozy. Great for group of friends. Lots os places to sir inside and outside The host is really warm and helpful. The caretaker at the place is also very sweet and helpful. She told us some cafes to visit. Helped with some groceries. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Specially paranthas and mushroom omelette. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone
INDreamy. Perfect. Homely. Our stay at the Hobbit House was for a week and since the first look it was love. Everything from the decor, the host, the room, the cosy fireplace was perfect and very nicely done. Geeta, the host, leaves no stone unturned to make you feel at home and the breakfast yummm. Such warmth and hospitality, did feel like leaving. Definitely recommended.
