The Barn

Sehr urig, für ein Aufenthalt mit Freunden perfekt.

Einziger Wermutstropfen waren die Schlafsofa, die waren für zwei Personen ausgelegt, aber etwas zu schmal. Aber für eine Nacht war es kein Problem.🤩

The pool table was the best feature. I spent hours on it. The central heating was effective and was capable of making the place very warm if required. Ellen liked the shower. The heated towel rail was useful. The blinds were very effective - at or close to blackout standard. There were no issues with the Wi-Fi which tested about 30MB down 3MB up. The cordless vacuum meant we could clean the hard floor. If the weather is warm there’s a table and some chairs outside. The host was helpful and at one point made temporary repairs to the bed. There’s a pub that serves food (the Blue Anchor) about 5-10 minutes walk away.

The bed, though improved by the repair, really needs replacement. Though there are two sofabeds, they aren’t comfortable as either beds or sofas. That means there’s nowhere comfortable to sit, and for a longer stay I’m afraid that’s a problem. The TVs don’t appear to have freeview as such - they have integrated program guides, as well as apps with multiple live channels like Plex (similar to hotel cable), but if you have login details for BBC iPlayer, Netflix etc, bring them with you. There’s some road noise during the day as it’s close to a main road, though this isn’t unusual in the UK and I wouldn’t want to overstate it. There was also quite often noise from a stereo system or similar across the side fence from the property next door, even in October. The lighting is fairly subdued, which is personal taste - some will like it and some won’t. The bathroom floor tiling will need attention at some point.

Nothing. Everything about it was fantastic.

Working in the are and found this little gem !! Initially booked our stay for 12 nights but we are so happy with it we have extended our stay to a further few weeks Ben is a great host the barn is very clean and tidy the kitchen area is well equipped for your cooking needs etc. It has fast Wi-Fi which is good it has an outside seating area wich is a good it will be great for the summer months as it has a bbq and log burner Very happy with our stay thanks
