Oak View

This is a great self-catering unit in the heart of the Bowness village looking over the Ash Street pedestrian mall. The first floor unit does have a two floor walk up from the lane behind it, but has a well equipped kitchen, lounge room, bedroom, large comfy bed, modern bathroom with plenty of hot water, good wifi, and easy self check-in using a keysafe at the entry door. There is no parking at the unit so, after dropping off the luggage, paid parking is available nearby at the Rayrigg Rd carpark for 10GBP/day or 22GBP for 3 days. We stayed 2 nights and could easily have stayed a full week.

Location was great

Entrance to the property was dirty didn’t really make a good first impression and the rear of the property was a bit of a mess

The front door didn’t seem to lock properly

Walkway area to the building entry not welcoming. Entry door to building difficult to lock and unlock.
