Acacia Bay Lodge- Private Manor with Lake and Garden views

Lovely accommodation, be prepared as it is someone’s home, owners food etc in the fridge, but there is plenty of room for you if needed. Bring your own milk, tea/coffee. House is very spacious, washing/tumble dryer, use of wash powder was there, big sitting/dining area, comfortable, kitchen great, owner very nice and welcoming, the lovely lady lives next door. Garden beautiful, great for a family stay.

Dosent seem to be air conditioning , it was quite warm, a fan in the rooms would be very much welcomed.

Some cleanliness issue, the showers weren’t super clean and there were dirty towels in the kitchen. I understand it’s someone’s home but it felt a little bit too much like we were housing sitting for someone at some stages.

We were welcomed with warm greetings and comfortable exchange of stay guidelines we were needing somewhere to rest and take break throughout out travels and found our host to be so thoughtful she had the house ready and lit up for us to arrive. Beautiful views and enjoyed our breakfast with the sounds of tui in the kowhai tree. Quiet and clean home we enjoyed our stay close to town yet peacefully away from it too we didnt take many photos because we were tired but the home has a warm feeling to it the character of its features are nice too very cultured. The host was super friendly and helpful, very responsive to our requests (she just lived next door). The house was big and nicely furnished. Slippers at the front door for guests to use. The views from the kitchen and lounge overlooking the backyard and Lake Taupo were brilliant. The neighborhood area was quiet and beautiful. There was also a cute little dog that was keen to make friends with you if you don't mind little animals.

We were there in July so it was cold especially at night. There was an electric heater in each room and a fireplace and a heater in the lounge but a couple of the rooms took a while to heat up. The shower in the on suite bathroom had no door so you had to keep the shower head turned on to keep yourself warm. The fridge and freezer space was mainly occupied by the host's stuff as they sometimes lived in this house. They would leave some space for guests. Not a problem for us as we just had a few trouts and a bottle of milk but you may want to be aware of this if you have a lot of stuff that needs to go into the fridge.

EVERYTHING WAS GOOD heat pump in the room would of been nice.
