Acacia Bay Lodge- Private Manor with Lake and Garden views

Very beautiful and comfortable stay with the family. We stayed just one night, but was quite worth it. The weather was awful so couldn't make the most of the morning but I'm sure on a bright morning, it'd be an absolute treat.

Tad colder for an autumn night. Though the owner made every efforts to make it Uber comfortable for us before our arrival, we still had to keep most windows closed for the night.

Big place with nice shower. Was very cold with windows left open behind closed curtains, some windows wouldn’t close. Beds were uncomfortable and pillows were so large that it was hard to sleep. Didn’t really like the feeling we were staying at someone’s place with all their stuff everywhere

Beautiful view and pleasant grounds in a private house lovely large private ensuite.

Was surprised to find it was a private home with lockable bedrooms rooms for guests, like being in someone’s house. It was a pleasant stay just unique from other accomodation. We had a room with two beds and the single bed was just ok.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was roomy.

It was not at all what we or other guests had expected. It was extremely rundown, Untidy, and very uninviting. No signage so hard to locate. It really was a rundown, Rubbishy house with some rooms done up to rent out. No facility in room for a cuppa, very poor lighting and electric switches that were cracked in bathroom. Piles of rubbish in entry way etc. we think it may have changed since we booked a few weeks ago Would appreciate feedback. We think it was worth about half what we paid.

My family and I had a very comfortable stay! Location and views were amazing.

Convenient for visiting Lake Taupo, clean and spacious.

Need to be mindful that although the place is spacious, the property is not rented entirely to one group. Two groups shared the house and each group has their own bathroom and toilette. There may be noise if someone gets up early or check out early. It wasn’t a problem for us though.

House was lovely as was the garden and views.

Seemed like all the owners food etc was still in the fridge and cupboards....Felt a little uncomfortable using the kitchen.

the location was the best as it was close to where were going. Bed was comfortable

Felt like were were in someone elses house as the fridge was full of food etc. Need a variety of pillows as they were too high. It was clean and tidy, Fit for purpose

Good location for visiting Taupo

Owner lives there with dog. Not fit for people with dog allergies. It smells dog allover.

Very comfortable and cozy, the rooms are tidy and nicely decorated. Good kitchen facilities and a great lake view from the kitchen and terrace. Ashely is very responsive. We enjoyed the stay a lot.
