Porthcawl House Near Beach With Extensive Parking

Location was near the beach.

cleanliness wasn’t up to scratch. Everything was dirty, couldn’t see yourself in the mirrors, blood on the upstairs toilets and on the floor of the toilet/broken glass on the driveway.

Lovely house near all entertainment good value for money..even had a chair lift for stairs was very helpful to me as i have mobility issues.

The location is spot on, a few minutes walk to the beach, fair and arcades. A short walk into the town using the seafront. The house is comfortable and there was plenty of room for our party of 5. The house is well equipped and was clean on arrival. Parking is obviously a premium in this area so having room for our two cars and a visitors car was fantastic. Having two toilets and a separate bathroom was helpful as there were 4 adults in our party.

The sofas could do with updating as they were quite dated and became a little uncomfortable. Parts of the house could do with updating but for the price this can be overlooked.

Great location, plenty of parking, friendly cleaner over the road. House was much bigger than expected. Nice utility space for sorting beach kit. Decent sized bedrooms. Walking distance to the beach, but still quiet.

Lack of toilet paper, soap, washing up liquid and dishwasher. Not really a problem but we would have come prepared if we'd known. Shower needs a good clean. The crockery was also dirty on arrival.

The house was HUGE! Plenty of space to accommodate our family of 5. The photos do not do it justice!! There were games and books left for others to use which was handy. The beach is so close and has a great funfair (they do half price nights for wristbands) which you can hear but it isn't too loud. There is everything you need in walking distance with some great little shops. The cleaner seemed friendly and came to tell us about the fireworks on the beach which were amazing! Lots of places to eat and also plenty of delivery through just eat. Beach is pretty clean and everyone seems friendly and helpful. We had a great holiday and would definitely come back. Swansea and Cardiff are within driving distance. Swansea has a park and ride where if you park (for £1!!!! So cheap!!!) And show your ticket to the bus driver, you get the bus for free! The parking at the house was enough for at least 3 cars which was a great asset. The rooms are large. There is a massive downstairs toilet which would benefit from reconfiguring and adding a shower cubicle. There is a utility room with a washing machine which is perfect for quick washing the swimming stuff ready for the next day. When I booked, the house was VERY reasonably priced. They could charge at least double what I paid during the holidays. WiFi was a plus and coped with 5 people using it at once without slowing down. Would definitely recommend. Especially if you have an older person like nan or grandad that want a holiday but struggle with the stairs as they have a stair lift at the property and a bedroom just in front of the top of the stairs and easy access to the bathroom .

The house is a little run down and the back yard could do with a bit of lawn or some flowers or something. There was broken glass on the driveway when we arrived. There was a bit of a weird smell in the house that we couldn't put our finger on to what it was. Not a great smell but if you left the windows open it dulled it down. The furniture is a bit dated and the dishwasher was turned around so we guessed it was broken at the time.

Brilliant house, very homely, spacious and clean, with a very decent sized toilet downstairs. The house was huge and would easily accommodate a family of six. For good weather, there is a good sized yard with chairs provided for sitting out which is also quite private. Something else I'd like to mention is that the lady who looks after the house lives across the road, she's very friendly and can't do enough to help and it was great having someone so close. The house is very central to the beaches and everything in town and it was fantastic value for money. Porthcawl is a place where there is a lot to do and the people are very friendly.
