"Loved the comfort and homeliness of the apartment"

10.0

The property was clean and spacious and really nicely furnished. Loved the greys, white and orange accents. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cutlery and cooking stuff you would need. We worked our way through the snacks that were left for us. Both bedrooms were nicely furnished and so much room! The beds were comfortable and despite it being a chilly November the duvet was warm enough on its own. The pillows were so good I want to get some for home. The bathroom was nice and the shower was great. No problem with the water at all. There is plenty of room in the front room and the sofas were comfy. There’s a table and chairs for eating at and out on the balcony are two sets of table and chairs. What I really loved was all the little things that were provided like washing up liquid, toilet rolls, shampoo and tea/coffee etc.

It was all great, if you’re going to be relying on the WiFi for anything you’ll struggle. We discovered that if you were watching tv you lost connection.

The flat is very comfortable and is in a great location with views out to sea from all the windows and the terrace. It is a five minute walk from the beach, and from the old town. The Turner Gallery is across the road, as is a coastal walk. The flat has everything you need and has been very nicely decorated. The hosts have provided everything from coffee pods for the machine to tea bags of all kinds to snacks to sachets of oat milk for those who drink it. There is soap in the bathroom and in the kitchen, and shower gel and shampoo are provided. There is a hairdryer in each bedroom and they even provide yoga mats! The shower is great, with good pressure. The heaters in the flat are effective, not that we needed them much. The other thing I liked was how well the host (Lee Ann) communicated with me. Communication is very important, and she responded to all my queries promptly and clearly. She was on the end of a phone if we needed anything during our stay (I did need to call for help with opening the lock box containing the fob for the building). She also checked in by email whilst we were there to ensure everything was going well. There is a very informative guide to the flat and Margate on the table for guests to use. Very useful. Our £200 deposit was refunded promptly. Finally, the free wifi was much appreciated. A huge thanks to our host, and I will definitely stay there again, hopefully in better weather next time!

There is no heater in the main bedroom. This didn't bother us as it wasn't very cold, but an electric or other type of heater would probably be useful in the winter. The lights in the lounge/kitchen are very dim, but we got used to it! The terrace doors are old and need a bit of fiddling to open them, but once you know how, it's fine. Finally, a word of warning: everything closes on a Monday in Margate. As we were there on a Monday (it was our only full day) we missed out on doing a lot of the tourist attractions, and many of the restaurants were closed. Thank you to l'Olivo and Buoy and Oyster for being open on Sunday and Monday nights and giving us two lovely meals! We did see the Turner Gallery on Sunday afternoon but that was about all we got to see. :(

"Wonderfully spacious apartment in Margs"

9.0

The apartment feels both airy and spacious but also homely and comfortable. It's perfectly located to be at the heart of Margate - within striding distance you are treated to wonderful views, the Old Town, shops, the beach and the harbour. The bed is comfy, the huge windows that can almost all be thrown open onto the extended veranda/balcony is great, and the facilities within the property offer all you could ask for. The hosts are friendly, helpful and quick communicators, which always makes a difference. A great place to stay!

"Balcony with seaviews"

8.0

Lovely airy flat, brilliant views from windows and balcony, close to shops and the Turner gallery. Some welcoming touches, like the water filter jug, oat milk sachets as well as regular, and snacks :)

The road was pretty busy so quite noisy. Can't be helped I know. It would be nice to have a recycling bin, or to know where nearest recycling is.

The rooms are large and bright and tastefully decorated to a high standard. The apartment feels so spacious; you can relax without feeling cramped whilst taking in the sea views. The owners were fantastic too. Communication was friendly, speedy and informative. We were staying to get married at The Turner and we were left with a very generous and thoughtful gift. We would definitely recommend the accommodation to anyone.
